We ordered take away online. The wait was on par with other take away options, 30-45 minutes. The jumbo shrimp were easily the best my hubs and I have ever had. His garden salad was fresh and everything was crisp. My wrap had an abundance of meat but was sadly lacking in lettuce/tomato to balance it out. It was still tasty. Overall the price was a little high but the quality was excellent so I think it balanced out.
We enjoyed the Royal Palm Grille while staying at the Surfside Resort. The food is a made from scratch kitchen and you could tell it was prepared fresh. The California Roll was made fresh to order in their sushi bar and tasted very good. My husband ordered the Blackened Grouper Sandwich and thoroughly enjoyed it. The drinks were also very tasty. Our favorite was the Long Island Iced Tea made from 4 different rum flavors. K.T. Took great care of us at the bar. My reason for giving 4 stars was the limited bar food menu and appetizers. While there were many great entrees, there wasn’t much to offer if you want some simple “bar food”. The menu items were pricey and the food was really good, but some lower priced snacky bar food would have been a nice option but wasn’t available as part of their menu. You will definitely pay a bit more and some may think it’s overpriced, but it was still good food.
Highly recommend the poke bowl! We loved the beach views from the upper deck. Beer and wine selections were great as well. The service was amazing and the menu had alot of great options including sushi :.
Ok I said no onions and it came out with both onions Scanlon and onions it made my stomach feel green.They made good with a new plate of food no onions and blackened shrimp. Mia the waittris was good. Kid-friendliness: Kids have there own menu Dietary restrictions: No onions
Great experience! Superb tasty!! We ordered crab cake and shrimp penne pasta. The crab cake was delicious. Pasta was mouthwatering!
Staying at the Majestic Sun resort nearby for vacation and decided to give this restaurant a try since its literally less than a 5 minute walk away. Food was amazing, I haven't had crab cake like that in a long time and my party agreed that everything was fresh and delicious. The host was also very nice and checked on us often which is something you rarely see at most establishments. For the price you pay the food is great but my only caveat was the ambience - extremely loud guests dinning and outdated decor. Overall recommend!
Sushi was fantastic. Pasta was fantastic. Fried green tomatoes were beyond fantastic. Service was great. Price was fair for the entire experience. Just great all the way around, and it was better than and of the touristy spots along the beach. This needs to be a go to for your dinner without a doubt.
First and foremost, we ate here day one of vacation and food and service were good. Now I'm going to present to you how to completely bungle customer service. We went at 5 o'clock on a Friday. The hostess was in a terrible mood, as I see a couple other reviewers can attest to on the same day. The inside was closed for a wedding so service was in the bar area or outside patio. A couple of tables were at the bar and one party besides us were on the patio. We ordered 4 sushi rolls. Then we watched as another party of four came in a few minutes later ordered, received and got halfway done with steak. Over 45 minutes later our server finally returns with our sushi to state "sorry we had a run of togo orders on sushi" wow! No. Never, ever,ever use Togo as an excuse to make a paying customer sitting in your restaurant wait for that extreme amount of time. Water glasses were empty when the sushi arrived. Server came back with Togo ramekins "for soy sauce" when I was half done with the sushi, at which point I had already put the soy sauce on my plate. At the end of the meal, we waited, and waited for the server to return. Eventually I grew tired of the hour and a half we had just wasted and left my card with my wife. She eventually had to hunt someone down to pay and found the manager. When she mentioned the horrendous wait and poor service, the manager could only reply with another excuse: "sorry we have a wedding" . The tables were set up for the wedding when we arrived. We watched the whole wedding occurring across the street as we were waiting for our sushi. There were a total of about 25 customers to be served in the whole hour and a half we were there. No comp, no discount, nothing to make up for the absolute worst service I have ever received at restaurant. NEVER make excuses implying that someone else is more important than the paying customer sitting right in front of you. If you can't handle additional traffic when you have a wedding coming two hours after people arrive, close the whole restaurant. There are plenty of establishments in this area that will treat you better. I recommend to anyone to take their hard earned dollars and spend them elsewhere.
lots of food choices, knowledgeable & friendly staff, indoor & outdoor dining, beach bar didn't see another one around so a big plus, all ages would enjoy this place. Also enjoy their Free bonfire events on Mondays & Fridays. Smores were delish & atmosphere was chill. No hurry, no worry. Yeah, we got here over an hour ago and still waiting for our food. Our drinks are empty and no refill in sight. The table that arrived after us has been served four times and we still have nothing but our empty glasses. Our kid's pizzas came out, after an hour of waiting, looking like Tony's frozen pizza. $8 for 4 miniature slices of obviously-frozen pizza? If the wait is justified by "scratch made" cooking, I need an explanation. We were told we'd be the next sushi roll in line, and after watching the table across who arrived 20mins after we did get their second roll delivered to them, we honestly couldn't stand sitting around and waiting any longer. When trying to explain how disheartened I was by the experience, all the manager had to say is "sorry it didn't live up to YOUR expectations" as if basic customer service was some extraordinary thing we're expecting. For a tourist location, and coming from someone who just drove 10hrs, this was not at all what we'd expect from the Royal Palm. Per the manager, this Jordan guy is what caused our awful experience so I'll go ahead and call him out by name. However, no remedy or attempt to fix the situation from this establishment.
