Seneca County Museum

Description

In 1853, life was simple and pure. Walk through the door of Tiffin's first millionaire's home, which was built in 1853 and now houses the Seneca County Museum, and experience life as it was then. Tour the 18-room Greek Revival historic home which displays everything from the life of a millionaire to the beauty of Tiffin Glass and other fine treasures. Be sure to save a few minutes to take a step outside to view the carriage house with antique fire equipment and horse-drawn wagons.

Wonderful informative museum on the history of Seneca Cty. Lots to see on 3 full floors of this historic house. Easy to get to and on street parking. It's a self guided tour but there is staff available if you have questions.
I visited here, with My Wife Friday 8/24/18 mainly to visit The Mad Dog Massacare from 1948.I was totally blown away by their display & Info They were able to put together from 70 years ago. If You are a fan of Crime Investigation & Crime Solving You have to See what They have put together here, Mostly by Volunteer Mark Steinmetz & Tania. Will definitely have to come back to tour the rest of This Spectacular Museum. Please come To Tiffin,Ohio ,bring freinds,You will not regret The time you will spend.Leave a couple of bucks in the Tip Box to help keep the Doors of This Amazing Tool of History Wide open for This & future Generations.
My grandmother lived behind this museum on Miami St. most of my life.. Went there numerous times thru her 30 some odd years there. I love all the houses in that area.. So well worth a visit or 2..
