DO NOT GO THERE!!!!!!!!!! HI, I have been going to INOVA all my life with all my three kids born in their NICU center. I never had any issue with their billing center as billing always seemed fair and affordable. However, I am writing this review with a heavy heart. About 7 weeks ago, I accidently cut tip of my middle finger of my left hand while using homemade electric saw. The wound appeared so minor that I decided to take care of it with home care. However, upon insistence from my three kids who are all in GMU and despite living 2 miles from SENTARA Hospital in Woodbridge, I decided to go to my favorite hospital for treatment. The staff including doctor on duty gave me 7 stitches and I was out of hospital in less than 2 hours. I was happy with service and attention. However, I was shocked when I received a bill showing an outrageous amount being patient's portion after having charged fair share of my treatment from CIGNA. I was appalled to see that the bill only reflected the charge for use of facility while doctor charged me am outrageous amount for treatment that he never did I opened a separate claim and case with CIGNA which was decided in my favor. I am going to fight for the outrageous bill sent to me. The bill is unfair given the treatment and time I spent on the facility. I am going to fight to protect my right for fair billing on all levels wherever I had recourse to. In the meantime, I have learned that we must never go to INIVA for minor treatments and must consider going to other private urgent care scenters which later I learned from family friends that were more reasonable and less outrageous. Good luck to those going there for treatment. I learned my lesson and will share this all my family and friends.
The staff here were very kind, calm and informative. My daughter came in after being severely injured. They remained calm to not stress her but were able to effectively communicate urgency and importance to me.
I came to the ER doubled over in pain due to a dislodged IUD. I arrived at exactly midnight. There were only two other patients waiting. One of which was an elderly woman with a broken wrist and another middle aged woman in a wheelchair. It took them over 2+ hours to see them and they only did when we all complained due to staff on their phones. I continued to wait alone in tears as my pain became unbearable. This is absolutely ridiculous.
This hospital is terrible, first time in emergency room after moving to Virginia. I have never in my life ever waited this long; after they brought me into a room they forgot about me. I am from NY I have been in busy hospitals where you have to wait but the hospital was empty, I was put in a room for over 2.5 hour without someone even checking on me. finally lady came and said another hr wait time, are you serious. they playing game with people illness/injuries. Also, lady came in the room asking more questions so they wanted to make sure my insurance info was correct so they could bill me for the non service. They better not bill the insurance. This hospital is time waste. Extremely disappointed the fact that I left without treatment but yet they made their business.
I went to the ER with Covid yesterday and Dr. Yoon and the other nurses were able to treat me and get me on liquid medications. I went from dehydrated/about to pass out from inability to swallow for a week to finally eating a whole bowl of oatmeal within 12 hours. I had my vaccines but omicron is a beast! Thank you so much. Shout out to Dr. Reynold as well for successfully and thoroughly diagnosing my eye issue a month ago.
I love this emergency room every time I have to bring my mom they move very fast but effect. We are never waiting for long and they literally send her home better. They take their time with treating her with out hurting her too much. The staff are so sweet and patient!!
We were visiting from out of town & my BF went fishing with a friend & fell down trying to tie the boat to the dock & broke his leg. EMS & firefighters came quickly, got him up & loaded on the stretcher & brought to this ER. Dr. Laura Patitucci, Holly RN, Thomas X-ray tech, Juan & many others were expeditious with their care from meds to X-rays to splinting…. All with kindness & compassion. We just want to say a BIG THANK YOU to you all. It’s not said enough. If u need some ER TLC, This place is GREAT!!!! From Susan & Todd
My name is Ashley Moore and I would have given them a negative star if it were possible. I went through the most painful part of my life and this emergency room was not here to help me or support. I question their knowledge on certain circumstances and I know everyone needs a refresher on drawing blood. February of this year, I was 2 months pregnant. I went to this emergency room because it’s literally across the street from my condo and I knew something wasn’t quite right. I was experiencing a little spotting and some minor cramping. I wasn’t too alarmed because I wasn’t in agony but I needed to know what exactly was going on. I was seen by the staff rather quickly. Not surprising since there isn’t a lot of people in this area to begin with. After a few hours or waiting and testing, the doctor informed me that I was currently having a miscarriage. Heartbroken of course, I asked the doctor what to expect. I was told that it will pass naturally and I should go home, take some Motrin, and miss a few days of work. So I went home. Having a miscarriage is the most physically painful thing I have ever experienced in my entire life. I had my first son naturally and that was painful. Literally excruciating!!!!. I couldn’t believe the doctor sent me home with no REAL pain meds. I couldn’t freaking move for 12 hours straight and I was home alone. I was scared to even call 911 because I knew they would send me back to the same people who sent me home and gave me just simply “it will pass naturally”. I hate this place and I hope I’m not on my death bed because I do not trust this emergency with my life.
Took my son to this facility the day after Christmas around 12:30am. He kept spiking a fever of 103 degrees, had chills, headache and body aches. They said they were busy so the wait would be a bit. We get back into the bed and the nurse comes and takes his vitals. His fever is down because I just gave him Motrin. She tests him for the flu and never comes back. Time goes and and 2am passes, 3am passes. My sons fever is back. He’s shivering, his head is throbbing and the ER looks like a ghost town. Now it’s 4am. Still nobody has even come to check on him. I peak my head into another room where I finally see the nurse to ask where the doctor is and she says he’s coming. It’s now 4:45am. My son is burning up, I have nothing to give him to bring his fever down, still haven’t seen the doctor or nurse and I have no idea if he has the flu or anything. We were in the ER for 4.5 hours. I finally make a decision to leave so I can at least put him to bed and give him some fever reducer. When we got home his temperature was back up to 103 degrees. I had to call the next day to see what the results of my sons test was and the male nurse that asked for my sons info was rude and kept cutting me off. Thanks INOVA staff for a memorable Christmas
This hospital is terrible, after they brought me into a room they forgot about me. I have been in busy hospitals where you have to wait but the hospital was empty , more nurses than patients And I was put in a room for over 90 minutes without someone even checking on me . Saw plenty of nurses and the doctor playin games and laughing with each other . But clearly to busY to check on me . They ignored me until I got up to leave because they wanted to make sure my insurance info was correct so they could bill me for the non service.
