Sheraton Imperial Hotel Raleigh-Durham Airport at Research Triangle Park

Construction on the floor above started at 7 am. Wasn't informed before booking. It's annoying when you need sleep, as the weather was hot and exhausting. A vacation nightmare. On a good note, the pool was spacious and relaxing like bathwater. Could have had more umbrellas for shade, as NC is hot. Service n/a, but staff was very friendly. People in the south are super friendly. Beds felt like soft clouds. A lot of charging ports in the rooms. Automatic air conditioning. Ample parking lots. Parking spaces are incredibly thin. Not good for larger vehicles. Perhaps a designated area for larger vehicles? Spacious refrigerator in room is a plus. Can hold 2 gallon jugs of water and food for a few meals. No microwave, but I eat raw, so it was great. As sleep is important for alertness and functioning, the only disappointment was the constant knocking on the floor above my bed. Thanks for reading. Hard to write a fair review for a hotel that is actively working through a remodel/updating. It's a good hotel with friendly staff. Temporary restaurant location, food, and was okay. Cons: The elevators need serious updating. The renovated room was to mid level satisfaction. Toilet paper holder was hanging off the wall, crooked, causing the roll to slide off on floor. Cleanliness in the Era of pandemic needs improvement, overall. Spots of the room were dusty.

I don’t even know where to start. My husband and I just left from a business trip and I cannot express how disappointed I am with our stay. We paid over $500 for a 2 night stay and the experience was that of a 2 star hotel. Upon arriving and trying to unload our car we had a good bit of luggage since we travelled with our baby we were not able to unload in the front because it’s for hotel shuttles only. We had to park in a lot and carry our things making multiple trips since there were no luggage carts available. Once in the room, we were just ready to get clean and eat dinner. I immediately noticed giant spots of paint chipping off into the bath tub and the tub was anything but clean. I ended up just wiping my baby off because I don’t want paint floating in the water with my child. The second thing I noticed was how dirty and stained the carpet was. There were stains everywhere! Also the bathroom door and main door looks like it had been “clawed” so I am assuming this was a pet friendly room. Not a big deal, but we did not have pets. That night once we were ready for bed I noticed that the deadbolt on the door did not work so I flipped over the latch and we went to bed. Well at 7:00AM I was awoken by someone entering our room and the only thing that stopped them was the latch. Whoever it was did not bother to shut the door they just walked away. I do not believe it was housekeeping because they normally knock first and call out “housekeeping”, so this means someone’s card opened our room as well. Once awake and making my way to the bathroom, I find a roach under the sink. By this time during the trip, I was just ready to go home. If I pay $500+ dollars for a 2 night stay, I expect higher quality in my room/hotel. Needless to say if we ever have to return to this area we will not be staying here again. I can continue to list all the things that were wrong and unpleasant with this stay but I think you can get the point. I do not recommend this hotel.

This hotel has seen its better day. Remote key did not work consistently. Rooms old and outdated. Lobby area has a nice upgrade but food variety is poor. Ok for a one-day event but I won't stay there again. A renovation may be in progress but appears to be a smaller, slower-paced effort.Rooms: 1/5

I had a corporate event to DJ near the Sheraton imperial so I booked a room here, and was not disappointed. The best part about my stay was not the amazing room, which was beautiful by the way. Or the immaculate hotel. The star of the show was the service that we received from Veronica in the bar lounge area. The food was amazing, she knew exactly when to check in on us. You can easily tell a genuine person... She would be your favorite aunt. We connected instantly, and the bride and groom that I was meeting with said the same thing. She has some sort of magic. We were very impressed! They should give her a raise for sure.

I was here for the Flanc conference for two days and It was very comfortable. I am terrified of bugs and the maintenance man came up to my room as soon as I called for room service to help me kill It. He even sprayed down my room while I was there. The staff is super nice and helpful. The rooms are nice and clean and very modern. I enjoyed my stay and would recommend for business!

Have to request to have room cleaned. Pool not heated, hot tub closed. Bar closed, restaurant closed. Not sure what this place has to offer that make it better than a motel 8. Real disappointment.Rooms: 2/5

I cannot recommend this hotel especially if you need to cancel due to an emergency. Noel Peterson aka: night manager is not a sympathetic human and cares only about hotel revenue versus unfortunate circumstances. Was charged 1 night for giving a 24hr notice instead of a 48hr notice. Peterson knows the extent of the emergency I had to go through and I can only hope someone reads this and not make a mistake thinking this hotel actually cares. Shame on them and there are plenty of better hotel options in that area

Very clean, friendly staff. Have items that you can get by request if you forgot to bring them. The bed was so comfortable and slept greatRooms: 5/5

I booked here because it was one of the only 4 star hotels i found in the area. It needs to be changed to a 1 star. Worst hotel experience. I checked In with military and they told me i needed To provide a local I’d to receive military. They boosted the price due to this and then our room had stains on towels and bed sheets. We called for more towels and they told us that we would have to wait that they don’t have any. Then i noticed I was Itchy when trying to sleep. We discovered a ton of ants in the bathroom and floor right after we checked in. My 2 year old had an ant bite from this. Breakfast is not conplimentary it is an extra charge and the parking spots are narrow and terrible. Will not be returning to this hotel. We cancelled the other nights booked and went somewhere else. DO NOT go here.
