We are a 60 bed research hospital specializing in orthopaedics, scoliosis, cleft palate, plastic surgery, and rehabilitation/spinal cord injury. Care is provided regardless of a family's ability to pay.
Shriners Hospitals for Children® — Chicago provides specialty pediatric care to children up to age 18 with orthopedic issues related to cerebral palsy and other orthopedic conditions such as club foot, scoliosis and a variety of rare diseases. We also treat spinal cord injuries in kids, offer plastic surgery including craniofacial, cleft lip and cleft palate, and pediatric rehabilitation in a friendly, family-centered environment.
Any child up to age 18, within the scope of care of the hospital is eligible for treatment. Every surgical admission, procedure, rehabilitation and clinic visit is provided regardless of the patient or family's ability to pay. The list of accepted insurance providers continues to grow, and includes Medicaid.
