Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) is a ground fighting martial art developed in Brazil. This martial art focuses on controlling and submitting an opponent without injuring them. Muscular and cardiovascular conditioning are the physical benefits achieved with BJJ training. A typical class includes warm up/stretching, instruction on BJJ techniques, followed by open rolling (grappling) under the direct supervision of a trained instructor.
Muay Thai Boxing is a martial art developed in Thailand. This martial art is known as "The Science of Eight Limbs" as punches, elbows, knees, and kicks are used as the eight different points of contact. Muay Thai is deemed by many experts as the most effective and practical striking martial art. A typical class includes warm up/stretching, instruction on Muay Thai techniques, followed by sparring under the direct supervision of a trained instructor.
Kickboxing / Martial Arts Fitness will focus on the cardiovascular aspect of training. This class will be a high-intensity, calorie burning workout (up to 1000 calories in one session) that will improve your balance, coordination, and overall fitness. A typical class includes a unique combination of dynamic stretching/warm up, kettlebells, and pad/glove/bag drills without any full-contact sparring.
