Splash Mountain Magic Kingdom, last splash ride during the fireworks, 9pm on the closing night, Jan 22, 2023. Many memories shared here with the family. One of my favorite things about this attraction was finding all of the hidden mickey’s throughout the attraction. The line was approximately 2-3 hours on the last night. We had lightening lane, and waiting 30 minutes. Super cool to round the corner and see the Magic Kingdom fireworks while on the ride. Great last ride.
A solid ride at the Magic Kingdom with a nice small level of thrill that’s still entertaining even for the thrill seeker. However, it gets very crowded especially when it’s hot outside, which doesn’t make sense because it doesn’t cool you down- you only get a tiny bit wet and the water itself is hot. The other critique I would have is that the storyline doesn’t make perfect sense, as it seems a falling action is missing. Overall though, a good ride!
It's a pity that WDW is rebooting this attraction into another IP - they should just leave well enough alone and put the Princess and the Frog-inspired attraction in another location of Magic Kingdom. This revamping may work at the DL location, since it'll be near "bayou country", but it just doesn't make any sense at WDW, since it'll be located smack-dab in the middle of Frontierland....zippydeedoodah...if you can get to Magic Kingdom in the next few weeks, RUN! Your last chance to ride this classic is January 22. [R. I. P. Splash Mountain ]
Splash Mountain has cute characters singing happy songs throughout the ride. It’s a decent length of ride. A great thrill at the end with a splash which is captured on camera. You’ll likely get wet, but you’ll be smiling through it!
I have always loved this ride. I will share a photo I call “ Sunset on Chickapin Hill “ the ride will be sorely missed.Wait time10–30 min
Straight a classic! Such a nice relaxing cruise with excitement at the end. You don’t get to wet. Animatronics are very well done. Decorations are amazing too! They will soon be modifying the decorations for princess and the frog which hoped will be excellent! Highly recommend this 10 minute long ride!
Lively, Thrilling, and Fun Splash Mountain isn't for those with a fear of heights or big drops some of these are in total darkness!. However, in terms of its presentation and entertainment, it's a winner I wish everyone could experience. The animatronics are numerous and fun, as you gradually follow the mischief of the characters across several amusing scenes. The happy-go-lucky music and vibrant colors take you back to simpler times. It's a memorable experience for everyone in your party who's okay with a few big drops. Don't forget to check your on-ride photo afterwards! P.S.: Will you get wet? Possibly, but I find I don't get as soaked as I imagine I will. Only the big drop at the end carries any risk of spraying up water over you, and most of it flies up and to the sides. Makes for a very dramatic landing, though!
Great water ride. It’s based off Songs of the South movie in the 1940s. The movie itself is a bit antiquated and boring except for the cartoon parts, which is exactly what the attraction is loosely drawn from. 10 minutes long log flume that takes you through the whole story Breer Rabbit story via animatronics. I know it’s called “Splash Mountain” but you barely get wet, on the multiple small drops and the giant during the grand finale. Not that I’m complaining.... I actually like water rides that don’t leave you drenched at the end now you’re walking around with soggy. I gotta say, I’m always scratching my head when I hear people talk about getting soaked. I’ve been on this ride 10+ times, at least, including today which makes 11, and I’ve never gotten anywhere near soaked. Barely drizzled. Like I get about as wet on this ride as I do Pirates of the Caribbean, which is nothing. Sometimes the front row gets a little wetter but really, not by much. Today I rode in the front seat and got a tiny splash on my right arm. So either people love to exaggerate or I’ve just been incredibly lucky every time.
December 2021 - did fast pass for this. Great ride and it kept going after the drop. Worth riding. 3 daughters under 9 loved the ride. Must ride. Masks required for ride.Visited onWeekdayWait timeUp to 10 min
