I have been wearing the same pair of worn out running shoes for almost 2 years. I had no idea how much of a difference quality running shoes can make. Springfield Running center recommended a pair of saucony pro 3 shoes for the type of running I do. I tried them as soon as I got home and I shaved just over a minute off of my average mile pace. They are Worth every penny and more.
Really quality store for running shoes. Take the time to measure and insure a good fit. Also knowledgeable staff can help you find the right shoe for your style of running as well as any foot issues no arch overpronation narrow or wide foot. Would have given five stars but sometimes their prices are just a little high compared to onlineI still try to shop local and appreciate the one-on-one service but sometimes the deal you can get online it's just too hard to beat.
Tracy and the staff at SRC are fantastic! They will take the time to ensure a great fit for the level of activity that suits you. I also loved the athletic wear options so scooped up some of those too! Thank you!
Love this store! It has a warm atmosphere and the employees are knowledgeable and helpful. I bought new running shoes yesterday, and my usual was not in stock. Jessica was helpful and incredibly patient! with helping me find a new shoe that I like at least as much as my usual. Shopping at SRC is always a nice experience. Thank you for being here!!!

The best place to buy running shoes hands down. The staff is knowledgeable and patient. Special ordered a pair. Update, even 3 years it's still the best intown to buy running shoes, right now they have Wolverine boots, check them out!!
Associate was very nice and helpful. She helped point out the issues I have and the appropriate shoes to aid those issues. She was very sincere and didn’t urge me to buy the more expensive pair. She even gave me options from the sale rack because she thought they’d work best for my situation. Will definitely be returning!
I took my daughters to the Springfield Running Center last year on the advice of their cross country coach to get shoes to help with their running injuries caused partially by shoes that did not fit their feet well. The shoes we bought at Springfield Running Center worked wonderfully for them and we saw an improvement in their injuries and their healing almost immediately. I have a herniated disk from a fall years ago, and have major pain daily. After seeing such a profound improvement for my daughters after buying new shoes, I thought that perhaps if I got a shoe that specifically fit me, it might possibly help. I had watched the staff at the Running Center work with my daughters to get the perfect fit, so I thought I needed their expertise in getting me the perfect shoe. I wear good sports shoes, so I was not expecting it to change, but I thought it would be worth a try. I have had to stop running because of the pain but still walk, and it has been years since I could move without extreme pain. I purchased a new pair of shoes from The Running Center. I wore them the next day. That day I had very little pain in my hip and leg. The next day I switched back to my other shoes and had major pain all day. I still thought it was just a fluke, but it was not. When I wear the shoes that fit my feet that I purchased at The Running Center and supported my high arches, I have much less pain. When I bought the shoes, I was also asked what I wore in the house. I am usually barefoot.It was suggested that a special slip on sandal might help to provide the support I need while at home. I was a little skeptical, and really didn’t want to spend more money, but after a personal story of how it helped him after an injury, I decided that if it helped reduce pain it was worth a try. It was definitely worth it. I am so pleased with all the things I have purchased there. I love the service, and how they share the knowledge they have about all things related to running. They all know first hand about injuries, and recovery since all of the staff are runners and love running. I learn something new each time I go. There are many things I am not familiar with, and my questions are always answered in a very respectful manner. I also love that they now know our names and we are helped by the same people that have helped us before. They remember what our history is and treat us well. There is no high pressure sales, an each time they have tried to find us the best deal available. I know that good running shoes are expensive, and especially when the kids are growing so quickly. We do not have much money, and struggle financially but when I put it in perspective that after their running injuries we spent 3 months going to physical therapy and the cost in time , money and the pain, buying well-fitting running shoes was well worth it. Just to not see them in pain has been amazing. I love the personal care we get and their love of running is contagious. We will continue to be a part of and support this amazing place. My only regret is not taking the advice of our cross country coach sooner. It took me over a year after it was suggested to me. We live an hour away and I rationalized that the expense and distance wasn’t worth it, I was so wrong. We love The Running Center!
I needed a new pair of workout shoes. I teach Zumba and wanted something sturdy to protect my feet. After checking the flexibility, they helped me find the perfect shoe. They were very helpful and didn't waste any time trying to find the appropriate shoe. They didn't have my size and they ordered it with free shipping to my house! Very pleased!
Excellent service! Very knowledgeable and honest about the shoes I needed. I will be returning.
