My wife & I had a great visit our first time to the museum. We were both taken aback by the variety of different areas of business to look at and some of these had craftsmen available to demonstrate the skills of the trades. A really good day out. Staff & volunteers very friendly and helpful. Well worth the money.
This museum is fantastic, the location is beautiful, the exhibits and various buildings are extremely well maintained. The variety and scope is enormous, more than enough for a days visit! We will definitely be going back for more! Plus they are very dog friendly! Amazing!

Two fantastic trips in the last month. A fascinating place with a wealth of memory jogging exhibits for those of is above a certain age to reminisce over. A wealth of information available from the army of volunteers and practical examples from skilled crafts people. Wood turning, broom making, printing and much more. Plus there also seems to be something extra going on. We saw a host of miniature steam vehicles chugging around the place and on our previous visit the grounds were full to bursting with Alfa Romeo cars of different ages. Excellent value for entry, excellent value in the cafe on site. We will be keeping an eye out for events and will be going again for sure.
It was amazing, so interesting to see how we used to live. It's very well layed out, good excess for wheelchairs and pushchairs. Really enjoyed this museum, I came for the car show but to be honest the museum won me over. There’s so much to do and everything is interactive. The train and bus rides are all included. Excellent museum focused on industry and technology. Has narrow gauge train and vintage bus traversing site in on occasions. Lots of activities put in place for younger kids on our visit during half term. Cafe has basic selection Slightly rough around the edges but full of charm
Vast, active, engaging collection of museums. Not just one, brilliant for small and big kids who like steam rollers, mini trains, old buses, detailed wood skills, old skool bikes, the evolution of electricity delivery, phones and old exchanges, fire engines, road making. Its brilliant. Needs at least 2 full days to play your way through it. Brilliant value
Amazing museum, so much to see that you can easily spend the whole day there. Would recommend going on the nature trail to see the view from the top, 200 steps to get there but worth it.
