One of the receptionist is very very rude and should not work with the public. Otherwise I can only say that I have been treated extremely well. The nurse who takes blood, Brandi and the doctor are all absolutely wonderful. It’s a nightmare to get an appointment though.
The front desk staff was kind and was able to get me in early that day. Brandi the nurse was patient, gentle and friendly!
Rudest rudest rudest receptionists. Roll their eyes, cross their arms, bad bad bad attitudes. They do not like questions. They do not like to make appts for you. They change their policies everyday to fit their own needs. I get difference answers from every lady that works there.. come on Sumner county.. our taxes pay these ladies and they are by no means professional or kind. The doctor I saw however, was very pleasant and kind. Great 'bedside' manner. However if you dont wanna feel embarrassed about coming, I'd probably go to Davidson county health dept. This place is crazy rude.
Was told 4 months ago they don’t do appointments, for my birth control. Then next depo shot I got a baby sitter walked in told me they don’t do walk ins, called to schedule an appointment and to get a babysitter and they said have to schedule the same day. Missed my depo window. Very sad
I have been coming here since October 1st, 2018. It was great at first. As of now though, not entirely because of covid, I have only animosity. They changed the standard procedure of making appointments for Depo birth control shots. Instead of calling a month in advance; you now have to call the morning of at 8 am, if they actually answer the phone. The front desk woman, Bridgette, has contiously been rude to me on the phone the last few years. Today is an example, she didn't communicate that she made an appointment for me. It resulted in me waiting longer. When I had made an appointment, because she wouldn't let me come in yesterday. She blamed a nurse for it, instead of accepting that I spoke to her on the phone: "Oh you're right, we did do that. Well, that was nurses fault." Or in January, I had my full physical. They tried to tell me in April, that I didn't have my physical and attempted to not give me my Depo shot. It is absolutely infuriating, because I can't go elsewhere. It's not fair to me, as a patient, to be constantly belittled and aggravated. I have held in everything, but I can't keep doing this to myself. The really kind nurse from Gallatin, Lynn, helped me tremendously. She is absolutely fantastic. Aside from my 8 very poor interactions, some nurses are quite nice. The place itself is clean as well.
This health department has been amazing to me, a recently diagnosed type 1 Diabetic with no health insurance. Even though i usually have to wait 2 hours to see my preferred Doc, when she does come to my exam room she gives me 100% focus and takes as much time as needed to explain things, answer my questions and make sure i have everything i need. Yes wait times are insane but they genuinely do their best and always make me feel like i matter. Thank you guys so much.
I may change this review, but the lady who answers the phone is rude and condescending. It's not her answers that are the issue, but her tone. She couldn't even work at McDonald's with a rude attitude like that. Awful experience! I wish I could go to a different one with what I have to do and yes I am going to try to go to a different one. That's how awful she is. She sure knows how to make someone feel like they are less than a person for calling and bothering her day while she should just be focused on doing her job.
Update: Third bloodwork and appointment went much better. All things were addressed thoroughly, and wait time was significantly less. Previous Review: Honestly there’s so much turnover here you can never get a timely Appt. Every time I end up seeing a different doctor because mine has left. Plus I was put on a medication, that 2.5 months later they had no record Of me being put on, and refused to refill it, when they themselves filled it. Even then they said my numbers were great, and they didn’t know why I needed to be on the medication. My numbers were good because of me being on that medication for 3 months. I had to tell the doctor to look at my last bloodwork to confirm I needed the medication. Then she saw. Then they also missed a high fasting blood sugar. Because they inadvertently told the lab they didn’t know if I was fasting . I also waited 4 hrs to see the doctor last time.
This location is very difficult to find. The directions via Google maps are inaccurate at best. The service is extremely slow. So far been waiting 20 minutes to get a copy of birth certificate and have not had my name called yet from "signing in" which I'm certain is going to result in filling out some form to get my copy. Not sure why they can't give you that when you "sign in."
WIC appt at 8:15, still waiting at 9:25 with our 3 year foster daughter.
