Landa Knight has been a part of the great sport of gymnastics for over 40 years. Her parents, Charley and Ginger Arons, built the gym in 1972 and Landa participated as a competitive gymnast through the State level as well as helping coach the recreational and competitive teams. Landa has owned her own gymnastics business for 30 years and has had programs in Brady, Eden, Menard, Junction, Sonora, Ozona, Rocksprings and Eldorado. Landa bought the Texas Tumbleweeds in 1995 and was the owner/head coach for eight years. Throughout that period of time, the “Tumbleweeds” competed throughout the District as well as at the State and Regional levels.
The love of the sport of gymnastics, the thrill of competition and the desire to help each gymnast to reach their full potential has brought Landa back to the sport. “I miss the kids and the energy produced from an athlete repeatedly striving to be better and the thrill that comes when it finally happens!”
“I’m so excited to be back!” “I’ve come to realize that if you can actually make a career out of something that you love, you are truly blessed indeed!”
