Food was good. In the pricey side but good. The burger is huge and def recommend. The pizzas are very thin crusted… which it has more dough however the flavor was good. Mac n cheese was good as well. Overall good place
Came into this location because I was at the hotel and honestly would come here just for this restaurant if I had not stayed at this location. There were three sections of this restaurant 6 the bar area more casual, the restaurant, and the dinner section. I experienced the bar and the restaurant area, the first day I got an appetizer of the pan-fried shrimp with baguettes. The shrimp was very good, big pieces of shrimp were very flavorful the butter sauce was very flavorful. I also had a chicken noodle soup the chicken noodle soup was a little on the Bland side but I poured the butter sauce from the shrimp into it and it instantly made it better and I ate it all. The second time I came I was in more of the dinner area where you can see them cooking the food I got this time the wing appetizer and I got the steak sandwich. The wings were great I had the parmesan and the Barbecue Bourbon, which was eight wings and they were pretty small compared to what I'm used to but really good and it filled me up. The steak sandwich was interesting the sandwich in itself I don't know if it was the sourdough bread that it came on but it was just kind of weird together the steak by itself was delicious so I thought it was just sourdough bread that was throwing me off. The other great thing is I don't like to drink alcohol too much so you bartender can make you mocktails and they're very personable.
Nestled in the lobby of the Loews hotel, the aviation themed restaurant sits plenty more people than I thought it would. We found a nice sized booth near the bar. We stopped in for lunch so we ordered from the lunch menu but there are also breakfast and dinner menus. Food was good and the Bloody Mary’s had a kick. Favorite item at lunch was the order of brussel sprouts. Salmon sliders were also good. Free parking in the parking garage. Just don’t forget to get your parking ticket validated!
Overall, unimpressive. We arrived for dinner and after a short wait for a table, we were shown to our seats. It started well with the hostess asking us what the kids would want to drink so she could get that started for us. The waiter stopped by after around ten minutes and pushed to take our regular order right away. He made a recommendation, which I always appreciate. He went down the line quick as he could and once he took my order he just left without seeing if, perhaps, the adults would like something to drink other than water. From then on, we were ghosted. Food was brought out and placed quickly then he would leave again as abruptly as he came. As for the food itself, I had the short rib, which was the recommendation. The meat was dry as a bone and woefully under seasoned. My wife had a steak, medium rare, same experience. Waiter came back to find out how to split the bill, we tell him. He leaves, fifteen minutes later he asks us if we would like anything else...I tell him the bill and a box for my daughters meal, we wife and I had a quick maybe 10 second exchange about whether a box was necessary and when I turned to confirm the box, waiter had already left. He returns sans box and with the bills. We pay and leave. Overall, the atmosphere matched the prices on the menu, but food and service detracted from an otherwise enjoyable experience. Kid-friendliness: We had four kids with us, and I suspect that was the reason for the poor service. There was another table that the waiter visited much more frequently and they had no kids. No way to know for sure.
Nice restaurant located in the Loews Hotel. Easy parking at the attached garage. Parking is validated with restaurant purchase. Good sized dining area and fair selection of menu items. The Barramundi was quite good. Shrimp appetizer was a large portion and tasty. Overall the service was good but slow. The kitchen was slow to get out entrees. That would be my only knock, otherwise overall a good experience.
The food was good. Drinks were on point. Service just a little slow. But I’m a server as well so I understand. Looks like I showed up durning am and pm shifting. Would most definitely come again. Parking: Have free parking at the parking garage.
We went for a late afternoon lunch and we were nearly the only ones there, the restaurant seating area was closed but the bar booths were comfy so all good. Our server was excellent, very friendly and helpful. Separate checks, no problem, hold the cheese, no problem, etc. Everything was good.Food: 4/5
Beside the food which is beyond great, the service was impeccable. Sid was the best server. The food here was also absolutely amazing. Please get the chicken it’s delicious.Food: 5/5
We had a fantastic experience last night at The Ashburn. It was a breeze making the reservation and the staff were quite attentive and friendly. Our waiter had great suggestions for us, both in terms of cocktails and entrees, and the food was tasty. Don’t be apprehensive just because it is in a hotel lobby. Parking is not overly obvious, but it is in the hotel garage and it is free with validation.
The gentleman that seated us was amazing and professional. The server filling waters was on top of his job as well. After sitting for way too long I flagged a female manager who said I will get you a server. After a short wait she returned to take our drink order and not a server. After receiving our drinks from the manager a server never returned. Finally the manager took our order. Again I had to flag someone down for a drink refill while waiting for food. My wife ordered a side salad and it showed up the same time as all of our meals. I ordered a $51 prime New York strip medium rare and it showed up medium well and tough. My 9yr old even said it was terrible. No one came back to even check on us and when a server we never seen asked how things were I told her the steak was over cooked then the manager came back and just said I took your last round of drinks and steak off your bill. So needless to say my wife’s food was good and my son’s, but I was never offered any other option of food. I would say spend $6 at Denny’s down the road!
