The food was great, service not so much. It was almost empty when we came and they were in no hurry to seat or serve us. We were to tired and lazy to leave. I am glad we stayed as food was good. Strange thing we got the Greek Salad to split to start and it normally doesn't have lettuce hmmm, plus we asked to hold the pepporchini but they came, luckily all together so easy to avoid. But we had to ask for plates so we could split it, didn't give us a decent sized spoon or anything to make it easier but it was a good salad. Took forever to get it, we each got a pizza, I got the pesto and hubby got the Hawaiian. We were both happy with them, a little to large for individual to finish but not big enough to share either. We watched the cook toss the dough, which is entertaining but would have preferred quicker and better service.
We stopped here late one night for dinner. We had a wonderful meal. The bruschetta was excellent along with the pizzas and the monkey bread desert. Our service was excellent and even though there was dropped pizza in the kitchen, they made up for it with a free dessert. We would definitely come back.
Delicious food and very relaxing atmosphere. This location is more hidden than most but worthwhile to go to especially on a nice day - good size patio. The pizza and calzone is much recommended.
They had excellent service and excellent pizza. The waiter was super nice to us and actually gave me my beer on the house. We got some really good bead appetizers that were amazing and a carnivore pizza. The pizza tasted really great especially being a wood fire. I'd recommend it to a friend.
We went after a hike around 5. It wasn't too busy, and service was attentive and quick. The burgers are really good. I think they're better than the pizzas. If you are going to go with a pizza, stick with something simple like a Margarita. The pastas are...eh. They do have a nice selection of beers though. The only other odd thing that disturbed my meal was that there were track lights in my face while I ate. The place is lit with LED track lights that beam each table. They need to really change the lights to a more incandescent mood light like every other restaurant in the country.
Yes it has wood fired pizza. That's about all I can say about this restaurant. Not at all what I was expecting, When you order wood fired pizza you expect a crisp crust and the right blend of spices. The pizza looked great when they brought it out but when I took a slice all the topping stayed on the tray and all I was left with was a soggy crust. Yuck! Once I scraped up the cheese and toppings the homemade fennel sausage was way over seasoned and quite spicy it overpowered everything else on the pizza. Now let say a few things about the staff. Our waitress did not know how to work the soda machine, she came back and told us that we would have to order something else and that they had an excellent wine list. We told her that we would just take water the soda machine miraculously worked and she brought our drinks but no water. The Executive Chef whose name features prominently on all their advertising spent they whole time we were they on the computer with another employee looking over his shoulder and from what I could see I assume he was planning his vacation. Sorry Flying Monkey but you went down in smoke.
Terrible, unfriendly service and bad food. January 2016 My wife and I walked in and waited to be sat. Hostess picked up menus and started walking towards a table without greeting us or giving us an acknowledging smile. After a bit of confusion, we walked over towards her and the proffered table. The terrible service didn't end there. Our waitress again didn't greet us but started with all unavailable items of the evening then stared at us until we gave her our drink and dinner orders as we had plenty of time to look over the menu before getting service. It took more than 10 minutes for her to bring us our drinks while she had one other table than ours. Our two personal pizzas came at a slow but somewhat acceptable pace but were not very good. My wife ordered the margarita pizza which was pretty much a sad looking cheese pizza with a little basil sprinkled on top. The waitress checked in on us once and then once again took forever to give us our check with little enthusiasm throughout the whole experience. All the workers seemed to walk around with sad, annoyed looks on their faces which definitely translated to all areas of the restaurant. There was a blonde girl that seemed awesome who brought our food out to us. Perhaps the emotionally toxic environment hadn't affected her yet....
Terrible pizza that was definitely frozen. Only had cheese on every other piece. The sausage was semi warm. And the bottom of the pizza was wet, as if it was waiting for 20 minutes, but it waited for a second before I regrettably picked it up. And there was definitely a minor looked twelve who was handling the alcohol. Things got weird when the staff yelled at some customers, telling them it's closed because they were having staff issues. Then some random guy walks in and starts causing a commotion, seemingly arguing about a bill, but then hugs a worker, flips off the entire staff, then proceeds to walk into the kitchen. Was he a customer or was he a homeless man? It summed up the experience the restaurant pretty well. This is a terrible establishment that should be avoided at all costs because it's bad and way too expensive
We walked in with a big group, so we expected it to take a while, but we were almost the only people in there. The pizza took an hour to get to us, and was disappointing when we got it. They have a separate kids menu, and only half our group got one, so the others ordered full meals, not knowing there was a different menu. It seemed like all the kitchen people went on break in the middle of making our meal because the kitchen seemed empty you can see the kitchen from the seating area. I would rather have bought sandwich items and made a sandwich for lunch. So much potential, but under delivers.
The food was good. Family of four, we unanimously agreed the food is good. But service was not good. The waiter didn't seem to lack experience or confidence but was bad at what he does. Ate his lunch while we waited on the check; we frequently waited on drinks; he put it pizza on the counter not under any heat lamp while he got someone their check; he seemed to lack a sense of priorities and organization and was quite OK with that.
