The Rise School of Austin opened in 2003 in affiliation with The University of Texas College of Education. Mack and Sally Brown helped found the school and currently serve on its Board of Trustees. Rise Austin is one of seven Rise Schools in the country, including Dallas; Houston: Corpus Christi; Denver; Stillwater, Oklahoma; and Tuscaloosa, Alabama-where the program began in 1974.
The Rise School is a nonprofit Austin preschool, serving children ages 12 months through 5 years of age, whose mission is to provide the highest quality early childhood education for all children in an inclusive setting, where individualized learning techniques enable every child to achieve their maximum potential.
