The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Arlington is a place of profound reverence and honor, a testament to the bravery and sacrifice of the men and women who have served our country. As an American, visiting the Tomb was a deeply moving experience that filled me with pride and gratitude. The immaculately maintained memorial stands as a symbol of the countless heroes who have given their lives for our freedom and the ideals that we hold dear. The precision and discipline displayed by the soldiers who guard the Tomb is a reflection of the dedication and commitment of our armed forces. As I stood in silence, watching the Changing of the Guard ceremony, I was struck by the solemnity and reverence of the moment. The reverence and honor displayed by the guards were a reminder of the incredible sacrifice made by those who serve and have served our country. The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier is not only a memorial but also a powerful symbol of the unity and strength of our nation. For anyone who wants to pay their respects to our country's fallen heroes, the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier is an absolute must-see. It is a testament to the courage and sacrifice of our armed forces and a powerful reminder of the values that make our country great.
I finally had the privilege and opportunity to visit the Arlington Cemetery and got to witness the changing of the guard. There's a lot to see and a lot of ground to cover. I suggest arriving early to fully appreciate it all. And for those who choose, there is a guided tour option with the ability to get on and off at any key points. A definite must visit if you're in the area. There was no entrance fee, but it is $3/h for parking.
We had a very different experience when we visited this place in Arlington. We took metro from Washington DC which stops near the visitor center gate. There is change of guard ceremony which is a different experience to watch. There is a room filled with history on the place and the tomb.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entryFree
Absolutely amazing. Truly a remarkable experience. The guards change out every 30 minutes so you have a good chance to see it. Just watch your time at the end of the day as the tram back to the main entrance ends a 4pm but the grounds are open until 5pm
Very cool place to see, and learn about how the unidentified soldiers who were lost in battle were honored by not just the U.S. but other countries like France and China as well. You can see the soldier on guard at the tomb and witness the changing of the guard ceremony.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entryFree
Hands down one of the most amazing things I have ever seen. It was breathtaking. If you go at the top of the hour you will see them perform their rifle and uniform inspections. It was unbelievable.
Beautiful growns with a humbling feeling. As acres of land is covered with grave stones, it gives you a deep respect for those that have given their lives for our country. The changing of the guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier is breath taking!Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot sure
I would highly recommend that all American's and freedom loving people from all nations visit The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. It's an excellent demonstration of the respect that is deserved by all those affected by soldiers who paid the ultimate sacrifice. Unless you are a super-fit person, I would plan on getting tram tickets. They were definitely worth the money. The tram hits every appealing location every 15 minutes so you never feel like you're rushed or wasting time waiting on your ride.
I came here to pay my respects. To witness a guard change was on my bucket list. What an honor to see how we take care of one of the nation's most sacred places. Thank you to everyone who works here or has worked here. I was in the area for my sister's retirement from a combined service of 28 years of military Navy and Airforce as a Chief. Seeing the grounds and marble stones was nothing like I've ever experienced. To those that have fallen before me and gave the ultimate sacrifice, wow. I won't forget this place and the feelings and views with my family. Thank you to everyone that has served!
