Tuality Forest Grove Hospital

Description

Tuality Forest Grove Hospital is a 48 bed general care hospital in Forest Grove, Oregon, United States. Built in 1963, the facility employs approximately 100 healthcare professionals.HistoryConstruction on a hospital began in 1962. In 1963, the $412,000 facility opened as Forest Grove Community Hospital. The hospital founders sold it in 1967 to a local business group, who in-turn sold the hospital again in 1976 to American Medical International. Forest Grove's hospital was then remodeled and updated at that time, with a new $450,000 wing added that brought capacity to 48 beds in January 1977. In 1978, a new delivery area opened to allow entire labor-delivery-recovery-postpartum process to occur in a single room.In 1982, a medical office building was built on the campus and the hospital was purchased by Tuality Community Hospital in neighboring Hillsboro, Oregon. After the purchase, the ownership group created Fontus in 1983 as a healthcare organization. In 1990, the hospital was renamed as Tuality Forest Grove Hospital. In 1995, a geriatric psychiatric unit was added to the facility, and in 1999 a dialysis unit opened. The maternity unit was discontinued in 1996 as part of a re-organization of the parent company. The hospital announced plans in July 2013 to expand the facility by 75 beds and add a parking structure. The long-term expansion plans would add wings to the existing structure and add a fourth floor.FacilityThe hospital has 48 beds and 25 full-time registered nurses. Tuality Forest Grove Community Hospital is owned and operated by Tuality Healthcare. The hospital includes a 22-bed psychiatric ward for geriatric patients.

They don't deal with worker's comp?? After putting a rusty nail into my hand at work and needing a tetanus shot, I went here for help. Even though the parking lot was empty and there was no one in the waiting room I was told to come back in 3 hours for an appointment. I even told them this happened at work. So when I came back at my appointment time they insisted they run my insurance and then informed me they don't deal with workers comp. Well what good are you then?! I went to Zoom Care instead.
My visits are always on time, get right in. I am very pleased with my PA Joy Gephert. I am truly comfortable around her. I feel like I can tell her anything. The receptionists are very nice also. It's just a pleasant place!
Not impressed with the staffing here. I do see my regular doctor here and never had a issue until this night. Unable to afford an emergency room bill, I decided to get my injured hand checked out at urgent care. When I walked in, I asked if this was the same building for urgent care and the receptionist was very quick, rude and unprofessional on how she corrected me by saying "immediate care!" but then said yes. It was. I informed her I needed to be seen and she was even quicker to say "I'm sorry, but we take our last patient at 7pm." I explained that there was a possibility that my hand was broken and couldn't afford and emergency room bill. The woman behind the counter didn't seem to care. Now I get that doctors, nurses and that receptionist have their own lives and would like to get out of work on time, but if tuality is going to advertise an urgent care/immediate care whatever you wanna call it, not that that matters to be open till 8pm they should be accepting patient until 8pm! If the staff wishes to leave by 8pm, and accepts the last patient at 7pm, than advertise the the office closes at 7pm! Patient's shouldn't have to suffer because the staffing wants to go home on time! Especially when there's the possibility there's a broken bone! In addition to that, the receptionist was quite with and answer every time! Trying to make it clear even if she made the acception, there was no x-ray technician there anyway. So thanks tuality! You were the cherry on top of my day! Thought, struggling through the pain of a nearly broken hand was bad and couldn't get any worse, but the receptionist at Forest Grove Immediate care on 1/18/22 at 7:10 pm proved me wrong!
I am highly disappointed. I brought my son to immediate care at 7:00pm, waited behind a woman who hurt her toe, who was checked in right away I walked up to the receptionist to check him in she asked what my son was being seen for, I told her his ear was hurting extremely bad. She proceeded to tell me they had taken their last patient for the day at 7:15pm when they don't close until 8pm. I ended up going to rapid care at the tuality hospital where a simple look in his ear showed an ear infection and we were on our way very shortly after arriving. This immediate care definitely needs new doctors and staff if they are turning away children when they are supposed to be open
I was in Forest Grove when I cut my leg open very badly. The closest urgent care was OHSU and my insurance may not cover it - that's how badly I needed help. It was the most enjoyable experience. The staff was so incredibly kind and professional. The length of time to get seen was fairly short. I would certainly go there again and recommend it to everyone. My insurance ended up covering it - a bonus!
If there was a way, I'd rate you lower. I took my wife to this facility because her doctor told us to go there. My wife's hands and feet, knees and calves were swollen to immense size and were very sore and she could no longer get her legs to move when trying to walk. We arrived at 4:30-5:00 p.m. and I went to retrieve a wheelchair. After standing behind 2 other check ins and awaiting the slow check-in person, I was allowed to retrieve a wheel chair from the back room. After wheeling my wife in she got checked in and was told to wait. My wife asked for a warm blanket as she was cold. She was told that he "don't believe I'm allowed to do that" yet another woman asked for an ice pack and was promptly given one by the same guy! We waited as they took in three other patients that arrived after us and when the door was locked and no one else could come in did she finally get wheeled to the back rooms where I retrieved her from after waiting about 45 minutes. They didn't offer her the exam table or even help to get up on it. She was still sitting in that same chair that I had sat her in over 4 hours earlier! If this is what we can expect in Forest Grove now, we'll be going elsewhere, which is sad because we loved the place before the big change.
Receptionist really helpful and kind, even at 6pm, they were going to close before I came in. The doctor was not pleasant or even helpful for an abscess tooth clear up into my eye area, the list of area dentist is very much outdated. I had to go again tonight. Dr. Was polite but wined that there was already patients being seen and that he has been there till 9pm when they close at 8pm every night, told me to come back in the morning. He turned a boy that had problems breathing after falling off his bike, they told them to go to ER it wasnt even 7:30 yet?? Should be more than one Doctor to treat all of Forest Grove and Cornelius.!!!
I'm a new resident in Forest Grove with no family physician yet. Very short wait, great doctor who listened and communicated well, radiology facilities on-site, and a detailed written report to take home. Staff were all helpful, friendly, knowledgeable. Following the doc's advice, I'm doing much better tonight after 3 weeks of discomfort. Very good experience.
My girl friend came in with a concussion and abdominal pain and all they sent her home with was a big ass lump on her head how is that help? We were there for 4 1/2 hours I was in allowed to be in the room with her. Worst service and/or so-called help I've ever seen front desk does not help whatsoever nurses doctors anyone that is trying to get help from completely ignores you unless you're stabbed or shot . And my advice do not ever go there and everyone else that can please see my review go ahead and get them in a negative stars well I feel very strongly about this!
We’ve been going here for four years. I have 8 kiddos, my younger two are rambunctious boys and my oldest has autoimmune issues. They have always been wonderful, gotten us in pretty quickly, made the kids feel comfortable and not afraid. They sewed my daughter’s head up after she split it and it was a fantastic job! I love the doctors here!!!
