The worst E.R ever. They made us wait for almost 8 hours and they didn't do anything but xray... And we gave our military ID to them then thus lady is trying to collect payment from us even though we told them that we have tricare insurance... And Those people at the front desk are not helpful at all...plus the lady who did my xray dropped a heavy stuff on my leg that's hurting wth
DO NOT GO HERE. I brought my girlfriend here with internal bleeding; I had to hold her because she could barely stand and was writhing in pain. Yet, they told us to take a seat to wait. Several people in the waiting room told me that University ER is horrible and that I should have taken her to Tulane. Seeing that they were forcing us to wait while several able bodied people were taken in for screening, I carried her back to the car and sped off to Tulane's ER. Once their, she was admitted immediately. The staff, nurses, and doctors were all super helpful and kind. The doctor at Tulane even said that the only reason to go to University's ER is if you're shot or stabbed. Again, DO NOT GO HERE unless would like to bleed out in an ER waiting room!!
my dad fell and hurt his shoulder. arrived at UMC at 11:30. got his registration done by 12. he went in for an x-ray at 1:30. he is still there waiting for a doctor to speak to him. he’s been waiting for approximately 12 hours alone because no one can stay with him. upset because they said there were 5 people ahead of him 5 hours ago. i understand it may be busy and beds are full but this is unacceptable for a trauma hospital. he is still waiting as i type this.
Long waiting for abdominal pain. I came at 3:30 pm, and is 12:15 am still waiting for the doctor. Is ridiculous for a ER .
I am from Michigan but while on vacation I had to see a doctor and came here. My experience was terrible. I told the receptionist that it was unacceptable how long I was left in the lobby in pain and this is a trauma hospital. The receptionist said," Well you dont have to wait you can leave" . There was a woman that sat in the waiting room area for 14 hours. How is this ok? This hospital is thee worst
Though the staff is very pleasant in the emergency room , i told them all several times that I am hearing impaired and cannot understand the intercom,leading me to get skipped twice. The fact they could not accommodate hearing impaired or deaf was beyond galling and lead to absurd waiting.. for triage, bloodwork, ultrasound. I have never been in a hospital so beautiful yet so poorly run. It's a Monday, I have been here for 13 hours, and have yet to see a Dr. Despite being in physical pain. I'm a VERY patient and forgiving person, but this is just horrifying. Obviously this is a problem from the top because the staff is doing the best they can with what they are given.
I came in 12/13/21 was seen by registration, the Drs and was in surgery in one hour. I cannot express how I feel about this team. From registration, to Dr G in the ER to Dr Smith and her team for doing my surgery!! THANK YALL SO MUCH!!! XO
On the way to the hospital. The ambulance hits a bump and the grnie folds in half. Get here and I hurt in my lower spine now.. I get dropped in the lobby can hardly walk and being told to walk down the hall. I did as much as it hurts and asked for a wheelchair. I am now on the floor in tears scared no one looked my way down want to help me
I am in excruciating pain from a tooth ache and there is no way i should have to wait for the doctor that long. The people before me had been waiting over 10hrs to be seen in the EMERGENCY ROOM!!!! The staff very rude and inconsiderate! YOU CAN REBUILD THE BUILDING A 100×, But without REBUILDING YOUR STAFF TO REMIND THEM THAT HELPING PEOPLE IS WHAT THEY SIGNED UP FOR, ITS A WASTE!
Don’t go here. It has the worst ER where they told me to wait for 8 hrs to get checked up. What is point of having an emergency room when you need to wait for that long?
