The Visual Arts Gallery at the University of Illinois Springfield (UIS) is committed to offering exhibitions by emerging and established contemporary artists. Serving the university community, the city of Springfield, and the Central Illinois region, the Visual Arts Gallery has been a strong component of Springfield community life since 1975. The exhibitions, activities, written materials and events provided by the gallery afford the citizens of Springfield an opportunity for deeper understanding of contemporary visual art.
