The staff here are awesome! Everyone I've spoken to and seen and unfortunately I have a lot of contact with them! are so kind and understanding, and even upbeat and funny when you need a lift! They go out of their way to get you discounts or cheaper alternatives if you need it, they're happy to answer questions, solve problems, and get you the pharmacist if you need them. Even though they can get pretty busy, I always feel the care of the staff. The pharmacist, Jill not sure if there's more than one is remarkably helpful and compassionate--she really blew me away after having the opposite experience with the Walgreen's in Evanston 635 Chicago Ave--don't go there! I live 30 minutes away, but its well worth it to come here. Grateful for these folks!
Flag for TGNC or Queer folks assuming this location is a safer way to pick of prescriptions. I’ve witnessed multiple staff members over the past year refusing to use correct names, shouting deadnames and misgendered language at patients in a public space, and hurling micro-aggressions at patients if they ask for a correction. The pharmacist is un-concerned with the issue and reported that it will not be fixed. They also regularly mess up prescription amounts and dosages and blame it on the patient. I’ve been going here for 5 years and most of that time it’s been a compassionate and efficient experience, but over the past year it’s been a nightmare every time for one reason or another. You’re honestly better off going across the street in most cases.
Do not trust Walgreens online delivery. The website says 2-hour delivery for orders placed before 8pm. So I placed an order at 6pm. I find out 4 hours later that my order was postponed until the next morning. Also, multiple items were unavailable. Wish I had just gone to the store myself.
This pharmacy and its compassionate, patient, attentive staff have had my back more times than I can count. I'm a trans person with an hormone prescription that requires regular doctors appointments and lots of run-around from my insurance which has a religious exemption on covering transition related care-- I hate you for that, Loyola!!. The incredible staff at the Howard Brown Walgreens are always responsive and organized, and excellent at helping me trouble-shoot problems with my prescription and insurance. They're always proactive about researching what the cheapest option is for getting my prescriptions filled, and very active and engaged in helping me get the largest supply of my hormones that I can get. As someone who gets really panicky and dysphoric when my supply of hormones is running low, this has been a godsend. Thank you for being you!
Because of work I can only go pick up my prescriptions in the morning or after work before and after the building is open/closed and they make it difficult for me to get the prescriptions. They don’t pick up the phone, they just put you on hold forever. Super inconveniencing and I bet the good reviews they have on here are from people that work there.
The pharmacy here is completely incompetent and communicates false information
I would like to thank you Joel for helping me. I've been using Walgreens pharmacy for a very long time and this is the first time someone was actually helpful!
This walgreens is bad really bad i wait for my prescription ower a week no one text then i get inside guy found one bottle of insulin 10 min Hi told me. Half-hour nothing i come up to window wi don't have insulin for you next week this is a joke what you are doing to me then she found a bottle back you can not play with people medication /special insulin/ i could die 2 thumbs down .
Excellent customer service. Friendly, communicative, compassionate. Only 4 stars because lately I’ve had to wait up to 20 minutes to pick up a script that that was submitted hours/ days before.
This place is a joke. Poor pharmacy staff super understaffed. They try their best but two people cannot manage such a busy branch. Only go here if your not in a rush.
