Disability Services for Students assists with priority registration, referral and advocacy activities with university departments, campus accessibility, classroom accommodations, adaptive technology and acting as a liaison for special classroom concerns.
We are located at Woodlawn Place on Western Michigan University's main campus. Our building is located on 2210 Wilbur Avenue behind Rood Hall. Our entrance faces the back of the Fetzer Center and we are west of Sindecuse Health Center's main parking lot.
There are four handicap parking spots located in the small parking lot on Wilbur St. The closest parking for students would be either the Rood Hall parking lot or the Business College's parking lot. Please call us if you can't find us at 269 387-2116.

The mission of Disability Services for Students at Western Michigan University is to make education accessible. A student is a student, regardless of the issues, challenges or conditions faced. DSS advocates for the student to be provided with the appropriate tools to allow that person the opportunity to reach goals and potential. Those tools, academic accommodation or adjustment, facilitate learning while maintaining the integrity of course content and outcomes.
