I had an excellent experience here. Honestly, I arrived skeptical given the fairly low Google reviews. Everyone was tremendously professional and Dr. Conermann was able to resolve 18 months of pain in two 40-minute visits. I received a steroid spinal injection and couldn't be happier with every part of the process, and particularly the outcome.
The staff record multiple messages for a single visit. Same thing for acupuncture therapy. They promise so many treatments for free, but they refuse to deliver on that promise. The cost is better for getting your license, but I'm not sure it's worth the savings to be anchored to this office for pain-management. If this is all you need for your pain management, then save some money on your license, but if you want honest pain-management services, keep looking. They make it hard to switch doctors, so I wish someone had warned me first. The real salt in the wounds here is that this trouble is because of the controls on opioids, and I'm allergic, so --.
Literally the worst experience I've ever had with any health provider. They did absolutely nothing to help treat my pain and scheduled my procedure out a month after my visit because the doctor was going on vacation. Low and behold, my back pain got much worse and now I have to get surgery because they couldn't be bothered referring me to another doctor or help me in any way. If you're referred to this facility by any doctor, seriously consider finding a better pain clinic.
Dr Till Conermann is by far the WORST doctor I have ever seen in my life. He does not listen to his patients. I moved to Pittsburgh for a job and had my records transferred from my old clinic in another state. During my first appointment he called me a liar because he did not click in the right place in the Prescription Monitoring Database. I did not want to agree to his treatment plan but felt my hands were tied so I said I would try it. My life has become a living hell. I am afraid I am going to lose my job because most days I can barely get out of bed. I told him all of this during a follow up visit and he couldn’t have been less interested. Doctors take an oath to “do no harm” yet that is exactly what he has done to my body and my life. I have already contacted my insurance company to file a grievance, plan to contact CMS to file a complaint and am contacting a lawyer. Do NOT go to this doctor, he has harmed me in ways that have left me wanting to die. If any other patients would like to join together to file a lawsuit against him, please reach out to me. I refuse to be treated this way. I had been on the same regimen for years and he did not care. He needs to lose his medical license, and I am going to make sure that happens.
Everyone is so kind and courteous here. I actually enjoy my visits here and I highly recommend Dr. Kabese treats me as if he truly cares about my pain. Typically spinal cord injections take less than an hour from start to finish.
I’ve been a patient at this facility now for about 15 years - If I were to rate this facility 1-2 yrs ago, I would have rated them 5stars, however, over the last 7/8 months- the overall service has severely deteriorated. The administrative staff has been unfriendly, unwilling to go above and beyond what their job description is, and the environment has become uninviting. Recently the fellows that come in prior to the dr are no longer even cordial. In the past I valued my doctor, I believed he was genuinely concerned, he has always been patient, kind, and caring. Even he has changed with this whole opioid epidemic that has taken place in the media, I feel like he doesn’t have my best interest at heart anymore, Why does he bother asking me how I’m feeling? When clearly it doesn’t matter, he’s just interested in following protocol... I feel like I don’t even have him to turn to when I have concerns about my pain...... it’s sad
I have been trying for 3 weeks to get an appointment. The first time I called I was told they needed my PCP medical records before they could schedule appointment. I verified with my doctors office that they were faxed she did it in front of me. Then I had appointment with neurologist and he faxed them a letter starting the urgent need for appointment. I called scheduling and was told to leave message with nurse because she had no way to see if they received info. I've left 3 messages with nurse and still haven't received a call to schedule appointment. I've never experienced this before. Either you schedule the appointment and I make sure you have necessary info before appointment or tell me to go somewhere else.
90% of the staff lack decorum and simple politeness, beginning with the Director down. Having been treated at the Wexford location for 2 years and than transferring with the same doctor to this locates office, the service is night in day. In Wexford I was treated like a patient, in the city I was treated like and addict. The only saving grace was I still had my doctor. When she left things went from bad to horrific. I was assigned a physician that diagnosed a treatmeant and had no idea what my disease or histor was. Granted only 4% of the population is afflicted with the disease, but as a practicing physician you should at least read and research a patience medical history before recommending treaments of any sort. I have since transferred back to the suburbs. My condition is progressive and has no cure the last thing I need is the stress of a Doctor flexing his ego and a team that mistrusts and talks down to their patience.
This pain clinic is HORRIBLE. The one and only person who receives calls from patients and families in their worst time of need , hung up the telephone not once but twice on two different family members trying to seek assistance ...mostly guidance for another family member who was in off the chart neurological pain, which BTW was not being managed well ... I won’t disgrace the profession by referring to her as an RN. However, Rather than doing her job as a patient advocate and abiding by the ANA nursing code of ethics, she and the physician chose to view the patient as a drug seeker. that is the PAIN CLINIC PHYSICIAN ‘s own words mmm here is a thought for both pretend healthcare providers, next time take time to speak to the patient and do an pain assessment. My family member suffered without pain medication for approximately 1.5 weeks, prior to having amputation surgery. People treat animals better than my family was treat. Sadly SMH.. such a shame!
I waited an hour and a half to be seen by a physician my age, upon which she perscribed me everything but pain medication. She said it was based on my age. A cancer patient of 12 is perscibed long term pain meds. I have been on them for 8 years off for 1 and it has been miserable. If you aren't going to treat pain, find another vocation. This was horrible!!! I was crying like a fool!!!!!
