Altona Lodge,Green Point

Altona Lodge in Cape Town is definitely an accommodation I can highly recommend to any traveler. The staff is not only friendly, but extremely friendly! From the moment we arrived, we felt welcome and well taken care of. The hosts Catherine and Michael are extremely eager to make one's stay as comfortable as possible and are always on hand with valuable tips and recommendations. The location of the lodge is simply top. It is located in a quiet street, but still within a few minutes you are in the heart of Cape Town. You can walk directly from there to Signal Hill and Lions Head, the Waterfront is also within easy walking distance. Security at Altona Lodge is also guaranteed, which is a big plus. The rooms in the Altona Lodge are very clean and comfortably furnished. You can tell that a lot of emphasis is placed on hygiene and comfort here. We were particularly impressed by the beautiful courtyard, which invites you to relax and linger. Here you can relax wonderfully after a long day in the city and enjoy the peace and quiet. Another highlight of the lodge is the breakfast. A buffet is offered, where fresh fruit is not missing, there is something for every taste. The staff is always eager to fulfill every wish of the guests and thus ensures a perfect start to the day. All in all, I can unreservedly recommend the Altona Lodge. The extremely friendly staff, the eager hosts, the top location, the clean rooms, the beautiful courtyard and the delicious breakfast make the stay an unforgettable experience. We will definitely come back again!

I arrived back in the UK last Friday after spending 6 enjoyable weeks at the Altona. The Management and Staff made my days there a wonderful experience and they were more than helpful. The location is superb and close enough, but far enough, to the City for all a tourists requirements. A real 'home from home' in the truest sense. Given all this, I've already booked for 2024, a true hidden 'gem'...

Altona Lodge is a fantastic B&B! We truly did enter as guests and were made to feel like family. Mike and Catherine who run the place are super friendly and very helpful. The beds are comfortable, and the breakfast is always fresh and consistent. The lodge is situated close enough that u can walk to the V&A ! I would recommend parking your vehicle and using an uber to wherever you need to go. Keep up the outstanding work if could rate you guys 10stars i really would.....

Wonderful, homey experience. The owner and staff treat you like family. Would absolutely stay here again. Nearby activities: Close to most tourist attractions and close to the kosher restaurants in town. Safety: There are multiple locked gates to get into the lodge - I felt very safe staying there

Altona has refused to pay me my money back as promised. I was wrongfully debited but they do not respond to my messages, calls or emails regarding my refund. This is unacceptable. You can delete my review as many times as you like but I'll keep coming back.

This place is everything for someone who just arrives at their very first trip in Africa . The hotel is at a good spot , many shops nearby , easy access to V&A Waterfront and to the oceanside as well, the neighborhood both very lovely and quiet. Staff is very friendly, breakfast is also good, many home baked goods but vegetables and eggs were definitely missing.

Fantastic hotel. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. They went out of their way to make sure I was taken care of. The prices are reasonable, the breakfast is fantastic, the rooms are comfortable and clean. You can use the kitchen to cook your own food and they offer 24 hour coffee and tea, as well as mini-fridges in the rooms. Wish the rooms or at least my room had a safe. The area around the hotel is safe with plenty of food options and stores nearby.
