Aqua View Guesthouse Vaaldam, Free State

Aqua View is advertised on Air BnB as a waterfront property with the most lovely sunsets on the water, it is not a waterfront property and the sunset photos are just "an example of nature" according to the owner. You can not even see the dam. Has potential, but it needs a lot of maintenance.

This place does not even deserve one star. We arrived at the place and it was a not clean the housekeeper started to clean after we complained, the towels looked used and some of the beds as well. The kitchen was dirty and there was a dirty spoon even still on the side board. The bathroom was dirty and so on ... Overall the house is totally run down, tiles are crackedI did hurt myself on on while walking barefoot a cross the floor, the pool is breaking open, the couch on the outside is disgusting and torn. I could go on but see yourself at the pictures. The owner claims to love the hospitality business, that can not be true... whatever she did love or loves about it,... I leave this open.... She did however never get in touch with us nor tried to work with us on solving the questions. Her housemaid was the only contact person. I would not recommend this place to anyone! Disclaimer: if you plan to party and don't care about the looks, certainly a good place, however there was a sign that you are not allowed to party after 10 pm I think. Judge yourself, we made plenty of pictures - the towels were like this when we entered the room - most probably used, and after asking I had to get in a lengthy discussion why I would like to have fresh towels....

We had a great family weekend here in Deneysville. The host was very friendly and accommodating. The house is very beautiful with neat finishes, great views and close to the dam. The outside entertainment area is where we spent most of our time and had a dip in the pool every now and then. I would definitely recommend this place.

Stunning venue, clean and neat house, I call it "The flag house" loved the calmness and peace of mind. Deff going back there.

Well organized facility close to Vaal dam. Prepared to take us in amidst of Covid issues in country.

Loved it the place needs only maintenance it's a pretty good deal

The place is not maintained at all. Faulty doors, gate motor doesn't work and the the pool was dirty.

Great holiday spot.. I'm definitely coming back
