I believe when you search for a place to stay or anything generally in life which you will Pay for you do as much research as possible. I do not like sharing with people generally especially not a bathroom. But because I was told about this before I even signed my lease I knew what to expect. I love this place there are a lot of cockroaches I have to admit, you know why because cleaners place rubbish bins in the designated areas for people to throw garbage in, but no people do the opposite of that, regardless of the efforts done. And when it comes to the noise I have never in the 5 months I have stayed here experienced any noise which is out of the ordinary that needs me to report to the manager, only over the weekends and it stops before 10pm, that is totally understandable people are having a break from work. Now tell me which place around Marshalltown can charge you a maximum of R3100 including everything and feel safe at the same time. I have had 1 or 2 disagreements with the manager, that's normal I believe, we are not in paradise. So if one needs perfection they have to make sure they are willing to pay for that. The place is great, but if you don't like sharing bathrooms then it's a no no. Either than that there are no hidden cost. Electricity is prepaid though. And one thing we all need to keep in mind is that you as a person create an environment for yourself same as your workplace. If you do not treat something right the same negative energy will come back to you. Hence you'd find people working for the same company but with different views. Have an awesome one!!!
The tenants are so loud including adults and kids They play loud music,all playing different genres which makes it hard to fall asleep. The place is full of cockroaches everywhere. The only thing I love about this place is one of the security guards Sipho if I'm not mistaken, he's very generous when it comes to visitors as well to tenants,he'll always make sure you're being helped in all aspects and the lady that cleans the building is doing a great job . I thought I'd stay here for at least 6 months but with clamming noise, I won't be to .
Weekends here are the worst: drunk-noisy people in the park area, dirty toilets, and slow WiFi. It's 'worser' if you're a student here trying to get some work done during the weekend. 1:23 am, 11/04/2021: Drunk, noisy people outside my window, in the park area, would neither let me read nor sleep.
The place is noisy. Adults and children making noise in the passage. You would expect the building manager and security to be spot on but nothing. Just moved in and already I want.to move out. No matter what you do, do not think about staying here. Will be terminating my lease
Very small rooms, with commune bathrooms.personally not my ideal living arrangements. But for students looking for apartments that are close to university,mall, public transport then the area it is situated in is strategic and perfect.
Woke up to no hot water - we didn't have loadshedding or water crises as opposed to yesterday, so where does the problem lie??!
Its not far from calton centre , its good building for pple that want to rent on the cheap price its available for both students n family
The place is clean and good security services however it's noisy and toxic. Residents always undervthe influence of drugs abs alcohol
It's a nice place but sharing bathrooms is terrible and disgusting coz it's not clean, especially on weekends
Very safe environment, and even friendly for kids to play outside...
