Amazing experience it was. I went to Bauer in Gardens for a quote as I have been shopping around for new glasses….. the amount they gave me I thought it’s one of those franchises when you come back to pay the amount will change drastically. I was amazed by the turnaround time of an hour for my glasses and less than a week for my free sunglasses. The staff is lovely and helpful therefore expect exceptional service value for money. I am indeed a happy customer

If you would like to receive SMS spam for the rest of your life use Bauer Optometrists. I have asked to be removed multiple times from mailing lists, but the spam just keeps on coming like a river. The in-shop service I have received is great, but I hate intrusive marketing messaging and this does not stop.

I can highly recommend Bauer Optometrist! What a phenomenal experience, The staff was incredibly friendly and made me feel welcome and comfortable in the practice. The Optometrist was also very kind and accommodating and I really appreciated the time that he took to listen to me and the diligence with what he discussed all the best options for me. Further I had my two toddlers in the practice running around and the staff entertained them with such patience and kindness. This allowed me to look at their amazing frame range and not make a rushed decision.You will definitely see me and my family again!

My appointment was for 12h00 and I was attended to on time. The person who tested my eyes was very friendly and gave the impression that he knows his profession and explained certain things in detail. When it was time to choose a frame I was assisted by someone else who also gave me good advice. I got the impression that he was focused on the need of the customer and not how much revenue he could earn out of the deal. The specs were ordered and was ready for collection on the agreed date. My overall experience was a 10 out of 10. Well done!!!

Fantastic experience at the Gardens Centre Bauer Optometrist branch. They are very professional and supplied me with very high quality products at a price way under my expectation. They met an extremely tight deadline, as I was flying out of Cape Town. This is my second time visiting them, and will recommend Bauer and the Optometrist to anyone.

Great service with a smile. I needed a screw on the frame of my glasses tightened. The receptionist did this and noticed a broken pad and replaced it. Both for free. Unfortunately, I did not get her name to thank her here.

My second pair of prescription specs from Bauer. Staff are very friendly, professional.The frames I chose were unfortunately too large and they contacted me immediately and requested I come in and choose a narrower frame which I did. Not expecting this to be done in time for my easter holiday trip I expected to fetch them on Tuesday. I got a call the same day saying the specs were waiting for me. Collected them yesterday and only left when they were sure they were correct. Excellent service as generally one receives very middling,untrained and disinterested service levels in SA. Having dealt with many optometrists previously no names mentioned I have received some very poor service,in one case the lenses were complete incorrect and it took calls to the head office to get that resolved
