This is by far the best gym you will see in South Africa! Modern equipment that lets you track every session in detail, weights only are available too. The group classes are extraordinary too with a smart booking system. Showers, steamroom, sauna and areas to relax are provided as well. The staff is friendly, helpfull and professional.

I have heard a lot of good things about the new facilities and hoping that it will be everything and more than what I have been told. I am keen to join, and when I do and the gym has moved, I will reconsider my rating. Edit to my review, from a couple's months ago. I give BA Gym 6 Stars! What an awesome experience so far. Love going at gym. This is a state of the art gym, with modern amenities and equipment. Instructors and staff are always welcoming and friendly. Well done on the transformation!
I cannot express my anger and frustration enough regarding my experience with Body Action Gym. This so-called fitness center has proven to be an absolute nightmare, and I feel compelled to share my appalling experience to warn others about their deceitful practices. First and foremost, let's talk about their complete disregard for contract rules. When I joined Body Action Gym, I signed a contract that clearly stated the terms and conditions of my membership, including the agreed-upon membership fee. However, after just two months of being a member, I received an outrageous notification that my membership fee would be increased by a staggering 15%! I was only subjected to this absurd increase after a year, and it was not what I had initially agreed upon. To make matters worse, when I reached out to the management to discuss this unacceptable breach of contract, I was met with an astounding lack of response. It took them an eternity to even acknowledge my concern, leaving me feeling ignored and disrespected. Is this how Body Action Gym treats its loyal customers? It is downright unacceptable. Again contrat stipulated a 10% increase these are unethical practices
I wish I could say that the customer service was good, but the only time that they were actually helpful is when they're getting a contract or in general communications. As soon as you have an issue you hear nothing from them. I tried cancelling my contract for a few months, and never got a response, I modified my query to asking if I could get information on joining - and got a response on the same day. When I finally was able to cancel, they still debit my account. With me being responsible for making sure my bank reverses the debit order. Honestly, no gym is worth this hassle. No matter how good their equipment is. If you're looking for a better gym. There are others in the area. But please - refrain from giving your money to these guys.
It's my second home...the number one gym with the best facilities and professional trainers
A stunning facility with wonderful staff, unfortunately the volume of music is a let down. In the year I have been here the dj's play the same music constantly and there's a clear lack of situational awareness displayed by them. I have OFTEN observed more than 50% of the gym attendants wearing earphones and NOT wanting to hear the dj, yet the volume is not adapted to the 'crowd'. I have conducted numerous change-room and elevator 'research opportunities' and the answers are consistent: the music is too loud, too often. I have mentioned this numerous times to staff and it seems to fall in dead ears excuse the pun. Even as I wrote this the waiter can barely hear me placing my order for a delicious meal. the restaurant is amazing, staff too. Why not send out a questionairre on WhatsApp for everyone to anonymously share their opinions on music choice and volume? , that could be supremely helpful. Hopefully this review sparks some conversation with management and changes the ux for the better.
I’ve been a member of at least 3 different gyms which are major brands in the industry & yet still felt the need for a better experience. Then came Body Action Gym, it offered me the ultimate satisfaction & experience I’d been longing for. From the reception staff, the floor personnel, the amazing cleaning staff, the setup, the equipment, the studios, the bathrooms…. everything is on point making it a completely awesome environment. Don’t ever hesitate to make it your home!!!!
