As the parliament of Gauteng and an institution that sees to it that the government does its work in the province, the Gauteng Provincial Legislature’s main functions are: (law making, oversight and public participation)
Fostering public pride and confidence in democracy and enhancing government's ability to deliver services to the people of Gauteng.
