This is one of the best things which came out of covid ! It was started during covid and was like an oasis in a time when we could not enter a coffee shop. So we met at this caravan... little groups of people just trying to socialize a little. This is a lovely little stop and they even serve you at your car window if you are in a hurry. Situated just inside the gates to Blos.
Beautiful setting, great service and a menu with an incredible selection of interesting culinary treats. A definite step up from you average Cafe type fair, definitely worth a visit. Popped in there today and had a lovely Blos Platter, remains a lovely venue in a great setting.
We like the location 5 stars Friendly staff at the bakery. After New Year's Eve, we drove back from a short holiday, and my husband suggested buying some of the pepper steak pies. Hard pastry as a rock, flat ,underbaked, and really raw on the bottom. We ate them as we were quite hungry. We had previously from the bakery custard cake with molded strawberry on top of it. I told the bakers and expected some sort of apology from the owner. Anycase, it happened already twice, and after seeing quite some unhappy reviews, I thought I might share our experience hopefully in a constructive way . If you take the eisban, it is really dry, not worth it, and probably reheated . At such prices, one expects quality and not the above. If you go for supper and you aren't a smoker, it can be a challenge. the best seats are under the tress smoking area, while on the restaurant level, in "non-smoking area", you will have to endure all that smoke instead of enjoying the surrounds which are really beautiful. We had next to us parties with people doing vape in non-smoking area. Very noisy, shouting, we just waited to have some supper and leave asap The carpaccio is lovely. Some of the dishes are also tasty. It's a pity . Last week, a batch of those pepper steak pies looked again strange, I didn't purchase only one, which looked well. All over a 3-star.
Never get enough of this place everything is just perfect ! The massive selection of food , drinks, "earthy"atmosphere is adding up the beauty of this caféFood: 5/5
Really enjoyed the experience sitting outside which made it feel like you are far away from the city. The staff was friendly and helpful. A big plus for me was the Guinness on tap. You don't dive that often and if a place have it on tap, it's a must to have one, or two, glasses. My burger was fairly well made, as per normal my order was for a double burger, and because of the size, medium rare. They executed it fairly well and liked the fact that the burger patty wasn't filled with herbs or other seasoning which meant you could taste the beef. The consistency of the burger seasoning wasn't that great as my wife's burger was a bit more on the salty side. Was still a positive experience with the burger in my top 20 of burger joints. Would definitely go again.
Lovely atmosphere. Food was good however the eggs Benedict was overcooked asked for soft got hard. Would try them again though as my previous meals there was good. Service was friendly and lots of safe parking insideFood: 3/5

We used Blos Cafe as the venue for our Wedding Reception. It was an absolute blessing amidst the stressful wedding planning time. We are very grateful for the help that Loraine our venue coordinator provided us from the first email to the next phone call - and then meeting in person. She went out of her way to make sure our dream wedding would become a reality. The attention to detail, consideration of our time frame and special guest requirements - took a lot of pressure off our shoulders. The event went smoothly, and we will forever look back on the day and smile joyfully. We would definitely recommend Blos Cafe's service!
Great experience! My second visit to this lovely place. Service was great, waiting time for our orser was quick, waiters are friendly and helpful. Had burgers today and the burgers was supreme. Homemade patties, tasty, flavor and size really great. We enjoyed our time and had a wonderful lunch. Try the bobotie burger, really South African and delicious.
