Botha Massyn Attorneys was established in 1952 in Kempton Park, where we are still today with an outstanding reputation with not only our colleagues but also with our local Magistrates and Regional courts.
We are situated at the Law Chambers, 61 Kerk Street, Kempton Park, Gauteng, 1620 which is literally two streets away from court. You don't have to travel to Johannesburg wasting travelling time, parking time and risks, as we accommodate free parking and immediate attention. We are also very fortunate to have easy access to the best brains of the BAR in Johannesburg and Pretoria and are able to represent you in any action no matter the complexity thereof.
Mr Hennie Welgemoed served as an attorney for Hellmann Worldwide Logistics (PTY) Ltd, Schenker SA (Pty) Ltd, Heneways Freight Services (Pty) Ltd and Eagle Freight Services (Pty) Ltd for many years, and during this time attained extensive knowledge on freight forwarding as well as the legal needs of the freight forwarding industry.

Fritz Massyn founded the firm Botha Massyn & McKenzie in 1950.
P.C Botha joined the following year and Colin McKenzie in 1957. All the above has since passed on. Preceding the recent merger, the other partners were Anton van Wyk de Vries, Hennie Welgemoed, Jan van Rooyen and Leruma Thobejane founded.
Botha Massyn & McKenzie specialised in Municipal Law, High Court Litigation and Family Law, and had a mentionable Commercial and Conveyancing practise.
Pule Emmanuel Maseya joined the firm as a Junior Partner on the 1st of November 2016.
Currently the firm practises under the name of Botha Massyn Attorneys and comprises of partners.

Regarding our services it needs to be mentioned that the firm has a history of approximately 50 years of transactions pertaining to property and commercial law on behalf of Building Societies, Banks, and private clients and over 50 years as the corporate lawyers of the Local Town Council. Our most senior attorney, Mr Hennie Welgemoed, has commercial practices, specialising in all types of business transactions and commercial contracts as well as litigation involving a variety of contractual obligations. The firm specialises in Municipal Law pertaining to Town Planning Schemes in the whole area of Ekurhuleni Metro.
Mr Welgemoed and Mr Maseya all have records as court practitioners in civil and criminal courts and this ethos has been maintained. Mr Welgemoed has also developed a strong High Court and Magistrate's Court practise, which involve Local Government matters, divorces and litigation. Mr Maseya who deals mainly in commercial law, commercial contract litigation, divorce, RAF and debt collection, has made great contributions to the firm and its clients and broadened its service range.
Furthermore we have a vested Banking, Industrial and Commercial client base and are at present one of the leading conveyancing firms on the East Rand.

Mr Hennie Welgemoed joined Botha Massyn & McKenzie (as they were known then) in 1982, after completion of his articles at MacRobert de Villiers & Hitge, in Pretoria, and is presently the Senior Partner and associate of the firm, Botha Massyn Attorneys.
