This is how one should experience the African bush, do it in style. Extremely comfortable self accommodation with the certainty of seeing Elephants at the watering hole almost everyday. All amenities and catered for and staff and very good and friendly. The guide is well trained and knowledgeable.

Amazing lodge, will definitely be making this a family holiday usual. U wont believe me when i tell you that a group of elephants came right up to the lodge. There was a water pool there for them to bath, what a sight!!! They were so close to us. It was an amazing experience. The lodge was comfortable and there was ample space for kids to have fun and run around. Great braai and fire facilities. Everyday they took us out for a game drive and everyday we saw animals. Yes including lions. Everything at this lodge was just top notch! Loved it and worth every cent paid.

This is a great lodge that is well appointed and has everything you will need. It self catering and is offer 5 star comforts. Is a small lodge perfect for a small group of friends and family to book. As it sleeps 10 adults you have complete exclusive use of the lodge. Great staff and we felt looked after whilst staying at the lodge. Jacques our range was excellent. Would definitely visit again.

We had the most amazing stay at Buffolo Thorn Lodge. My husband and I recommend it without hesitation. Everything was of superior quality. Jacques and his wife were perfect and courteous hosts. Jacques took us on very interesting and unusual game drives, ensuring that we were able to experience the wildlife at a close vicinity. He readily shared his extensive knowledge of the animals and plant life and ways of the the bush with us. Jacques was pleasant and quite humerous. The friendly staff were thoughtful and kept the premises immaculate. A really unforgettable experience. Thank you

A superb holiday. Thanks to Jacques and his team. Next time we are back in SA we'll be visiting again. Love the fact that young children are able to go on the game drives. Gives them a true feel for the bush!

A hidden gem, had an incredible stay. The rooms are comfortable with epic views, from lions, elephants and rhino to lots of birds.. Would recommend Buffalo Thorn agai and again.

Amazing facilities, everything has been thought of.Our family 8 persons enjoyed every minute in this beautiful place.Evan and Jumarie are fantastic hosts and our game drives were truly memorable.Dishes are done, tables set, beds made - self catering has never been so good!Rooms: 5/5
