Candy's Lodge

My family had a great weekend here, nice family environment. The host made us feel at home. The place needs some TLC but we were told that they were working on it, also fireplaces will be nice to add that "cosy" feel during cold months. They also serve nice food .Rooms: 4/5

We recently spent the weekend at Candy's Lodge and really enjoyed our stay there. The vibe at the pub was just awesome, amazing people, a fireplace to warm you up and delicious meals. The sunsets are beautiful, the surroundings are peaceful and the accommodation is great. Looking forward to our next strip . Located on the Vaal river. Good food and prices. Beautiful gardens.Accommodation however needs a lot of TLC maintenance and upgrading.

Booked in with a group of ladies from church and we had a really awesome stay. There were no complaints. I will definitely be coming back. Haroon, Martin and Khosi were absolutely phenomenal, friendly and helpful, from check in right until check out.

The mighty Vaal river and the scenery of the beautiful place is abundant. Very friendly for family outings and a weekend get away. The place is welcoming and very friendly. If you like nature and the quietness, you will enjoy the place.Rooms: 2/5

Very good venue for serious fishing! Caught 2 Carp, more than 10 Orange River Muddy and this was after the gates at the dam had been opened so it was flooded. The accomodation is average in terms of cleanliness and facilities but very fair for the price. If you are going for a fishing trip its perfect.Rooms: 2/5

A bit run down after the Early years Water Damage

Excellent hospitality from Anne and her team, accommodation was neat and clean with breath taking views of the river and beautiful sunset. For fishing enthusiasts a kilometer of river bank littered with braai areas. Will definitely go back.Rooms: 5/5

We went to the lodge for lunch and the food was delicious. Fresh good servings and excellent value for money. Great hospitality too, highly recommended!Service: 5/5
