Nonyana River Lodge

This is a great fishing place and it's clearly marked & nice enterances to the river for fishing. The rooms are close to the river & the office has stock of generally needed items. Great fire places in the room areas for evening gatherings. I must say the rooms are tiny & 4 or 5 sleeper doesn't mean 2 or 3 rooms. The bunk beds are tight close to the ceiling. Room is not all that comfortable but will do on a fishing trip. There are nice places for kids with jungle gyms & a pool. Just some attention on the management of load shedding. Water runs out due to pump run by electricity, and their generator was switched on just before check out time! The generator only runs the pump!!!

Very comfortable place, perfect city break. However there were people playing loud music after very strick first rule of NO LOUD MUSIC.

We booked all three five sleeper units for the weekend. The accommodation was much to be desired, units were dirty, kitchen zink leaking with no hot water, tiny kitchen cupboard water damaged and mouldy, showers dirty with no shower doors, tiny fridges are rusted and no space for meat to be kept frozen. Maintenance needs to be done on all three units. Not worth the money charged. No generators or emergency lighting for loadshedding.

Will not recommend it to anyone the owners are rude and double book fishing sports, my team and I was going to fish competition this coming weekend but with the bad service recived this past long weekend my whole team will be canceling.

The place is very clean and great for fishing. It seems like the is a lot of Muddies but also Carp. The chalets are also in good condition. We will definitely go back.

Clean, convenient, serene and peaceful. All facilities are well kept. Great for a day visit.

It's a lovely place to get in touch with nature. They have a nice big pool with 2 slides. The pool is supposed to be "heated" but it's actually like cold tap water. Definitely not Warmbaths kind of heated. They have nice area to camp with nice bathrooms. Just needs to be cleaned more times a day as some guests are 'yugh'. Nice jungle gym and trampolines to keep the kids busy while the parents try their luck at fishing.
