Clay Cafe at the Red Barn

My daughter and her 2 best friends recently surprised me with a breakfast reservation at Clay Café for my birthday. It was such a great experience. On arrival we were met by a friendly host and super friendly staff. We were seated in a sunny, cozy area with a nice view of the picturesque gardens. Our food order was perfectly on time and the quality of food was nothing shy of excellent. We had cocktails with our meal as it was already "brunch" time, and our waiter assisted us in choosing suitable options to complement our dishes. All the cutlery, crockery and glassware is superbly modern and tastefully presented, and the general decor creates an atmosphere that is modern, yet very homely. The entire venue is cozy and elegant, with cleanliness obviously being a top priority. Well done! Our waiter was also well presented, super helpful with the crafty stuff and knowledgeable in terms of the menu and dishes on offer. It was quite clear that the waiters are well trained to be able to serve various tables as well as give assistance with the painting and craft work simultaneously - not an easy one if I compare this to most other reastaurants where waiters only serve tables and still struggle to keep up . Our "craft demo" was quick and informative and even included a show of ceramic pieces that the waiter had personally made in order to show us all the various techniques and colours etc. Today, 4 weeks later we were expecting it to take 6 weeks we received our finished items, all in good order, and we're all very happy with the finishing of our pieces. This was truly a morning quite out of the ordinary, but we can't wait to do it again. Thanks for making my birthday special ! See you guys again soon. Parking: Secure parking inside the premises.

I had such a wonderful afternoon with my friend here. It was just so nice to catch up while making something cool for ourselves for later. I ordered pancakes & a milkshake and my friend had a slice of cake and coffee and there were no complaints there. Our ceramics took about 4 weeks to be glazed and ready for collection. I strongly recommend you book ahead of time because I do recall people without bookings being turned away while we were there.

We celebrated a family birthday there today. The food was delicious, service was excellent, and the painting was so much fun! A peaceful location, was happy to travel, excited to be going back there in a week's time. Vegetarian options: Delicious food, a variety of options.

Had a great time here. The waiters were patient and helped us get the most out of the whole experience, from ensuring that we didn't miss the kitchen closing to tips on clay painting techniques. The food was hearty and well prepared. The place seems really popular so booking is essential

A wonderful afternoon spent for painting for a friend's birthday. It was very busy being a Saturday and I was very impressed with our waitress, who knew exactly what I created and drank. Looking forward to the end result.Food: 4/5

Let your creative juices flow and soak up some relaxation as you unwind in a peaceful setting. With a range of unique items and an awesome array of colours you'll find yourself running out of time by just trying to select your item and painting the rainbow. A must try for kids and grownups alike. The friendly staff demonstrated the techniques really well and were always available to assist. The menu has multiple options and platters are available if ordered in advance. Pets are welcome and there's even menu items available for your furry friends. The perfect women's day activity. Vegetarian options: There is a limited number of options on the menu but there are options. Kid-friendliness: There is a garden and jungle gym for the kids to run and play in

This was honestly one of the best places I've been, being able to paint pottery as you wait for your food is a great idea, the waiter was very good in explaining how the process works. You do need to make a reservation a few weeks in advance, but it's totally worth it. I do see myself returning here.
