Description

Olifants Cafe is a country style family restaurant located at The Big Red Barn on the gorgeous Sunlawns Estate.

Our breakfasts are deliciously generous with a full breakfast buffet available on weekends and public holidays. The lunch menu provides some cafe classics like toasted sandwiches, Belgian waffles and burgers to our most popular Lamb Ciabatta and 6 Hour Braised Pulled Pork Baguette. The wood fire baked pizza's are not to be missed!

Stunning forest mountain bike tracks are available for the whole family. and with an awesome jungle gym, Segway tours and Acro Branch on our door step, the kids will be entertained for hours!

We have just had the most disgusting experience. We had to wait for 3 hours for a table. Food was only served after an hour of ordering. When our order arrived, the pizza was covered in rocket and what was supposed to have lamb on it, had lumps of fat and very little meat. When we queried it, we were to to get out of the restaurant. Jacques Muller, the manager, told my friend to F... off. How on rather does a manager do that. I have never been so disgusted in my life!
Situated at the Red Barn. Did the “Off the beat ‘n track” mountain bike race last week. Well.... so super impressed. Kitted out for mountain bikers with amazing facilities. Clean toilets, great service. Will definitely be back. Thanks for an amazing experience guys. Job well done.
Café at the Big Red barn. Very busy over weekends, so just be patient... But this Sunday they even had a live band playing from 10am. Really enjoyed the atmosphere while enjoying the benches in the sun. Coffee served from 7am on the weekends. They have a slow start, so don't expect to place an order at 8.10am.
The food is always fresh and excellent. One of my favourite places. Always busy so don't be in any rush as service can take a while
The service is pathetically slow with the waiter never in sight when you need him and the coffee is aweful. Was not worth the drive.
Beware the names of the dishes. I ordered a pretzel and got a sandwich. And the owner has the lame and unacceptable excuse: that's how I call it. What other deceiving tricks has this lady? BEWARE!
Good burgers! Quaint decor. Clean bathrooms. Waiter friendly. All in all a nice lunch.
Extremely slow service... waited 40 min for 2 croissants, then eventually just asked for the bill. Not worth it.
Always buzzing...dog friendly...had a great steak egg and chips for next to nothing...nice area to walk the dogs...a winner
