The dam wall is the largest man-made dam wall in South Africa.

Man made waterfall stinks. Don't get what's the big hype for this place it smells like town and is nauseating. Would not even picnic here if it was allowed. Don't even know how people can stand there and pose for pics or even eat close to that water the way it stinks.  While hiking we spotted a snake. No precautions are taken you definitely at your own risk and your own  if that were to happen. People should be warned regarding snakes before paying at reception. Yes, it's to be expected but there was no mention of such whatsoever.  Staff at reception were not friendly and were rude when paying for the hike upon arrival. I was immediately not impressed. Only the security guard at the gate was nice, friendly and helpful.  Only thing we liked  was spotting a giraffe while leaving and the coffee from the deli was delicious.

Went on a day visit with my bae.. we just wanted to see the place and wow guys this place is beautiful and their activities are affordable. Food was also nice. So next time will definitely come to sleep because the place is safe and well maintained.. there were zebras moving around and I saw giraffe but couldn’t take a picture because it was inside the trees. The rooms are well maintained and nicely but remember we didn’t sleep we just got in and checked that’s all.  Nearby activities: The activities are all affordable I don’t wanna lie. And they are not far from each other.. I mean there is hiking after you done there you can just pay for swim just to refresh your body.  Safety: This place is safe but when you are in the lake doing kayaking if something happens to you and you don’t know how to swim you are on your own. That’s the only thing I didn’t like but the rest it’s safe ok…

Did a day visit with friends and went for a 10km hike. Hiking trails are marked clearly. An excellent place for hiking and or biking. The place is well maintained and after hiking you can have a lunch and drinks at the restaurant. It is ideal place for families, couple's getaways, friends outings or even if you need a little peace of mind as an individual. Definitely going back for a weekend stay

A most beautiful and relaxing place. The Boat cruise was enjoyable - we got to see hippo and white rhino. There is hiking and a small beach area to lounge on. You get to walk amongst wild animals like giraffe, zebra and smaller buck. The restaurant service for food is slow.

An absolutely phenomenal experience. We went on the 10k hike, in all honesty it was not as bad as I thought and mainly because of the view and seeing all the animals along the way. Being able to get close to them as well because they walk around freely. I suggest nobody go on the 10k hike after 2-3 if you plan on stopping for breaks throughout because it may become a little scary as it gets dark with finding your way back. You need to remember the paths you took because I did not see any direction to get back to the entrance. It took a combination of 3 brains to figure the way back and good observation skills

It's awesome place. It's very relaxing, family friendly. There are many fun things to do, such as boat rides, paddle boats, restaurant on the lake above the water, a little man made sand area with chairs and umbrellas, trampoline and pool  for the kids. There's a waterfall hike area.. great for pics. Scenery 10/10. Many animals on the property. Amazing and awesome.

My husband and I went there for a day visit, we made sure to go during the week because we didn't want to go when it's full. It was a lovely experience and a beautiful place... From the water fall, the lake, beach site and swimming pool. Seeing the wildlife was a cherry on top of top, we'll most definitely come back and I've already recommended this place to friends and family.

It's below average and the 2 stars is actually generous and that is for the animals on site.  We went there to hike, the trails are pretty confusing, don't know why they aren't clearly marked and KM's posted up along the trails.  The waterfall stinks a bit, the trails and some spots in the lodge aren't well kept- could do with some housekeeping.

We absolutely enjoyed ourselves here, my hubby and son took me for an early mother's day here, I loved every part of our day. Beautiful place to spend the day or weekend, lots to do. And the prices isn't bad at all, entrance is R 50.00, and there is so many activities to do there, very affordable. Amazing restaurant and staff, my day was amazing.

Was here for a triathlon event. Event was quite good. However the service at the bottom restaurant next to the dam "The Current" was very poor. We weren't greeted or helped with a friendly smile. But instead treated like we were a burden. Also not a big fan of the unisex bathrooms. However the top side staff was a bit more friendly and the wild life does improve the vibe a bit. Food and drinks are nice.
