Our annual staff camp took place from the 17 to 19 March. Thank you for taking care of 34 teachers. Every meal served was delicious. Very friendly, efficient and helpful staff. Only thing that never worked in our room was the air-conditioner, but the fan sufficed. Your beautiful well groomed grounds made our team building activity look like child's play. May your establishment grow in all spheres. Walkability: Loved how it suited our team building activity.
We stayed at the Shumba valley for 2 nights. The TV in some of the rooms do not work. The picture on the site is not the same as the what we received. We changed our one room for a better room. There are only 2 private chalets that have a balcony and a private pool. Not all the chalets are the same. Power outages were minimal and the generator kicked in. However wifi signal is very poor. They have a standard menu for supper everyday. Not much variety. Ee spoke to rhe chef to mix and match our meals. Staff are friendly especially at reception however the waiters have no clue how to answer us. Everything has to be asked to be confirmed. Very irritating and annoying. Standard waiting time for food is 1 hour. Rooms: Rooms are clean but tv doesn't work and they don't fetch the dishes when you ordered room service. Take long to come and clean the rooms Nearby activities: 2 min away is an adventure centre. There is only a pool in the premises. Not kid friendly Safety: Looks safe enough we had no issues Food & drinks: Need to add variety to their menu and not take 1 hour to bring your food. Drink are in average priced but coffee was always cold Noteworthy details: A big shout out to the reception lady that was always smiling and eagerly ready to help.
The place was not clean. Poor service- cleaners are lazy. You request for thing in the reception and get them very late. The food was really bad for me. I wouldn't recommend this place.Rooms: 1/5
This place seriously needs an upgrade. The unit that we stayed in had no water. Staff was accommodating in moving us to another unit with hot water. All in all, the experience was not great.Rooms: 2/5
Thank you for accommodating us! We felt relaxed and looked after. What ever we asked for was brought to us without hesitation. Over 30 guests in our group and you made it look like a breeze! Rooms: Clean and everything worked well. Food & drinks: Buffet was delicious! Lots of food and staff very happy to accommodate requirements
I booked two rooms,first room didn't have water at all while the second one had water but cold water. One room didn't have kettle for tea while the other had it. The room which had water,water water leaking on the bathroom basin. TVs were not working, and one of the two rooms didn't have an additional plug to charge phones. On the plus side though,rooms were clean and neat, wifi was working well and was faster. Price was very reasonable and staff helpful. Food and drinks can be found at the property at a reasonable price. There was ample parking and security at the premises appeared tight. Honestly had much enjoyable time and it's definitely worth another visit.
The rooms are not so clean, a lot of spiders and dust especially at the corners. The service yohhh... so bad, I had to wake up and go to the reception at 12:00 am for assistance, coz bona they're closed and they do not take calls after 10:00 pm . The food wasn't so bad, wouldn't recommend though. The place in general awoa aneva, wouldn't recommend
When I read the reviews, I was concerned but everything was perfect. There was loadshedding but we were not aware. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was a great weekend away with colleagues and friends. Rooms: It was very clean. Food & drinks: The food was delicious. It was buffet and more than enough. With every meal, there was dessert and a soft drink.
Day 1 was okay. Second night super horrible our neighbours are playing music so loud that we can’t sleep. Phone reception they said they will sort it out, they didn’t. When we try to follow up our calls are being ignored. My husband and i came here to relax but it was not the case. Will never set my foot here ever again. The staff just dont care!!!
The lodge is well located away from busy places. It is well kept and clean with safe parking space. The service in the restaurant and dining area need much improvement and the bar area too can do with better service. Rooms: Spacious and neat rooms with bath and shower. Food & drinks: Poor service and not much variety of things to eat.
