Cupboards in kitchen were never cleaned. It is said that kitchen is fully stocked, but basic utensils like pots and pans are missing. Really disappointed. False advertising as well. Pictures on website is only of unit 1. Not all units look like that. Would not recommend this place or come back again.

Would not recommend at all stay away far as possible. So i booked and payed fully for acommadation from the 24,25,26. With the recent floods i was worried about acommadation so i notified them if there is still acommadation available. 1st excuse was sorry they couldnt notify me the lady riekie told me she got a new phone and lost everything on her phone. I demanded that she rather pay back my money and told me i must speak to the owner. Excuse after excuse came why they couldnt pay my money back. Now suddenly the owner said he didnt say i must cancel my booking after i already demanded my money back on the 16th of november. Worst of all is that im not the only one with this problem. got all the evidence from the conversations Safe to say i wont ever be supporting them ever again.

I think the owner Daan, has lost interest. Disheartened by continues flooding and non caring flood control officials....I don't blame him.Rooms: 1/5

Units are dirty. Cockroaches everywhere. Kitchen poorley stocked. Bedding used and sweaty. NOT whashed after previous visitors. Second night no hot water.. Aweful..Rooms: 1/5

Loved this place. Beautiful view from cottages over the Vaal dam. Excellent fishing spot. All cottages well equiped. Daan is a very friendly and caring person. I loved the bird cages

Daan Se Plek is a place where you can relax and unwind. The tranquility of the surroundings gives you a peace of mind to enjoy nature with the view of the Vaal river. The rooms are a bliss and decorated stylishly. Uncle Daan was professional, friendly and made me feel welcome. You definitely deserve 5 stars. Thanks guys. Will definitely recommend this lodge!!!

A very nice venue next to the vaal river. A driving distance to Bloemhof dam. The dam is a very popular. There are many venues around the dam that is very popular for Provincial and National angling competitiond. This venue is used by many teams fishing in these competitions. It is just a pity that the owner 'Daan' does not service his rooms and or maintains his premises. Not a very neat venue. Rooms not serviced. Very dusty. There are better places to stay in Bloemhof.
