Dans Country Lodge

Room is clean. Internet does not work. Aircon does not work. Shower heads are clogged up, thus water battles to get through. One has to hand in keys at the gate before going anywhere. Upon return we waited 15minutes cause guard at the gate ran around to find out where our keys were. But overall it is a quiet place, and plus point is that there is a generator.

The room was not clean room 14 double, the pillow stank of old sweat, it had not been washed, the shower was useless, hard to get an even spray, needs urgent maintenance, the fridge coffee area was full of cockroaches. The saving grace was the dining facility, it was clean, the chef was very friendly and helpful, the toaster was broken but he made a plan, the beef sausage was awful, and the selection of food not really worth the extra that I paid for my kids, a Steers breakfast would have been much better, the garden was lovely

The place was beautiful and quiet. The staff is warm and kind. The Lodge is convenient as it on N2 and has total garage, steers and mugg & bean on the move. The Lodge has COVID-19 regulations in place.

Great place for hosting event, place is huge and clean. A distance away from Mthatha, location is convenient with assistive staff... Great service

Pieceful. 10 min out of town. If you are looking for a decent place to sleep with neat spacious rooms, excellent breakfast buffet, then Dan’s Country lodge is a big must. Spoil yourself with their evening dinner buffet as well at an affordable price. Small gym facilities on site as well to keep the fit even fitter and a big lounge to unwind the stress of the day.

It's a good stop over in the area. Rooms were clean and fine. Tvs in the room with a small bar fridge. You can have dinner and breakfast at the lodge. The former was never offered to me when I made the reservation so we had to eat at the service station restaurant also owned by Dan. The food was fantastic! The greater property has a bar, bottle store and general convenience shop. Very handy.

Stopped at the filling station only. Would have given them a 5 star rating had it not been for the R2 that I was asked to pay to enter the store! How ridiculous.. just wondering if it was only me or did anyone else have a similar experience... toilet facilities were pretty clean considering I had to pay to enter there as well.

Nice multi-purpose gas station, convenience store, restaurant, Bed and Breakfast accommodation, conference facilities etc. facility, away from the congestion of the Mthatha's central business district. The Lurhasi Satellite Police Station is neaby if a need were to arise. The facility is also well maintained and under good management. My wish would be for a more family friendly environment, with an extended play area for children.

At Dan's Country Lodge they have the biggest rooms ever. They're rooms are clean and warm this winter. They're staff is very helpful and friendly. You have access to everything, restaurants, inconvenient shop, bottle store and 2 bars and a petrol station. I had a great stay here
