Mvemve Lodge, Lusikisiki, Eastern Cape

The place is humid, stuffy and doesn’t accommodate for a working person. No desk for laptops or even a chair in the rooms. To get breakfast, you need to drive out to their other establishment. No network at all. You’re totally cut out from the world outside. Unacceptable. I’m completely unhappy with my stay here

The staff is very helpful. Food is not so great. They don't provide tea bags in the rooms, you have to ask for them.Rooms: 3/5

Terrible experience. Deserves zero stars!!!! When I got there for check-in around 15h00 I found out that they are going to have a "big" party. People were already sitting outside having drinksalcohol and smoking hubbly with music playing super loud, it was like I had just walked into a shebeen haibo 0_0. Then I was told that the party was only going to end the following day maybe around 10:00 what the...? Mind you it's a Monday and I came here for work. We get to "my room "there was someone else's belongings there, bags, clothes, food etc. and the staff members just chucked everything out!Eehh were they also going to do this to my belongings when I wasn't around? One of the staff members told me to keep my door locked at all times during the night because drank men may come knock on my door OMG 0_0.Well clearly this cannot be a safe place for a woman. Eeehhh then we tried checking if my door locks believe it or not the door could not lock!!!!I called the manager to complain, she gave me bad attitude and yelled at me heheheheee...anyways she got me another room at a different location guess what? someone else's belongings again in the room!!!!!The staff member I was with went back to tell the manger of the situation then she told him to give me another room, this 3rd room was small, some lights were not working and the bathtub was dirty. When I informed the manager of this he told me that I must find another place to sleep as they cannot meet my standards and offered me my refund. This was around 18h00.

The staff here is very friendly, we didn't have a prior booking and just showed up looking for accommodation. They let us check in early, and we didn't pay in advance cause they only accept cash and we didn't have any, so they let us pay later that night when we returned to the room. We checked out a little late as well and they were very accommodating. The room was clean. The only issue was that is smelled a bit damp, like there was mold somewhere although we didn't see any. Apart from that, we had a lovely stay

Doesn't deserve any stars,made a booking day prior, come in at 11 , to secure booking ,advise 2 hours will be available. Come back at 2 ,room still not available, now 3 advised another 2 hours waiting period ???? We have been on the road for 7 hours, this is unacceptable.
