Catching up with a friend we chose De Ouse Social Café as it was mid way between us. Never been there before we did not know what to expect. Walking in we were pleasantly surprised by the appearance of the venue, even happy when we turned the corner. We were welcome by the friendly staff. Service was 5 food was 5 . They were very accommodating with a gluten free meal request. Lovely play area for kids. Great sports TV area for watching big games. Definitely come back. Worth the visit.

Very very nice place hidden away between the Durbanville hills with a lovely view down the valley. Lots of seating all round with a seperate bar area. Nice outside seating with a lovely restaurant part that has a fireplace to sit infront of. Food is amazing and the staff very nice Wheelchair accessibility: Has wheelchair accessibility
Unfortunately, despite the good reviews posted, my experience was abysmal. Arriving at the restaurant, the venue looks great, has ample seating and sitting outdoors it has a small bar heater providing some heat and it is wheelchair friendly. The drinks and food is also fairly priced. What was unexpected is trying to find a waiter to take our order, and that finding out the kitchen had a hour turn around time was not ideal as this was a week night. Nonetheless after an hour and 20 minutes later my wife's food arrived. I am unable to comment as to the quality of the food as 20 minutes after she had finished her meal my food still haven't arrived and I decided to cancel my meal. The Mexican burger she ordered was cold since the tomato and guacamole was ice cold making the beef patty luke warm, maybe from being lost in the kitchen for some time?otherwise my wife said it would have been a fairly decent tasting burger, if only it was warm. I ended up with old reliable McDonalds for dinner, it might not be the best but atleast I got my food , so much for getting a date night with the wife. I would not recommend eating here as my first impression is that this was a waste of money, time and a all round unpleasant experience, there are far better dinning experiences in the area to choose from.
Great spot with a fitting name. Social cafe indeed. Seated under a massive tented Structure, it was perfect for a Winters day, especially the heaters. Great selection of drinks wine, beers, hard liquor at decent prices. Service that amazed me at the speed food came from the kitchen. Good, hearty food. Had loaded fries which was absolutely delicious and snacked on Margherita pizza - Fresh and flavourful with a crisp base. Inside bar area and outside more for families. Great atmosphere and recently upgraded with neat facilities including the bathroom. Overall a great spot for few drinks and nice food
Great vibe! If it's an icy day wear a nice thick jacket unless you've booked a table inside in advance. The food is delicious and staff friendly.
Love the vibe and music, staff also very friendly. Perhaps consider some gas heaters for the outside area. Those electric ones doesn't do such a great job. Parking: Lots of parking but feel obligated to pay the guard.
We had my daughters birthday and what an awesome time was had. The service was amazing. So accommodating and helpful in every way possible. The food is always great.Food: 5/5

First time sitting at the restaurant indoors have been to the Pub area before Loved the farm kitchen feeling... service was generally great. Food was also great, we had the Lunch specials @ R89/head you really can't go wrong. The only complaint was that we couldn't see the Kids playing on on Jungle Gym from inside at all it was incredibly windy.... so we couldn't sit outside Luckily our kids are fairly big... so we didn't feel the need to supervise them, but it was still a concern. If they had been younger it would have been an issue and we would not have been comfortable sitting there. Kid-friendliness: Big open space for kids to play and jungle gyms
