Let me start by saying i dread going to a dentist in general abit more then others but If i had to go for a root canal i'd only go to Dr Etienne. He may as well have been doing a filling, as the procedure and recovery was with very minimal discomfort. Everyone from those in the reception to the staff working on you put you at ease.
Dr Ettienne Ferreira came very highly recommended from a family member. She had given him glowing reviews, so I bit the bullet and made an appointment. I had been nursing a tooth ache since June'22 and finally made a booking in August with Dr Ferreira. The 1st encounter was a consult and assessing the tooth. It was concluded at that meet that a root canal was the best way forward. A week later on 17.08 we conducted the 1st the procedure and then the 2nd on the 24th. This was when the nightmare began. I was told the pain should subside after 6SIx weeks. Today is the 8th of December the 16th week and I am still in pain. I have been back to Dr Ferreira on couple of occasions one of which I was sent to a specialist Dr. for a 3D scan, she had told me after the scan that there was a crack on a tooth and I should return to her, she had also "polished" the crown that Dr Ferreira had put on the "dead" tooth saying it could be impacting the other, causing the pain. I returned to Dr Ferreira and reported to him. He had a look and said there was no crack and shaved of a little from the crown. I asked if the integrity of the crown would be compromised at all, with all the adjustments being done to it, a 2nd crown was then measured for. There was an anomaly on the x-ray which was clear to me an overfill in one canal which leaked out into the surrounding area but was told that it was not a concern. On my numerous visits I kept asking how a "dead" tooth can be this painful, he replied it's possible it's just me and that if the pain doesn't stop by October we will have to extract. I couldn't believe it. I went for a 3rd opinion to a Professor of dentistry who had a look and referred me then and there to a Maxillofacial surgeon. Long story short I'm having an extraction and implant tomorrow the 9th of December'22 total cost at the end across the board including tomorrows procedure, a small fortune, all because Dr Ferreira may have had a bad day when my procedure was done, and kept making me believe that the pain was a mental issue. I hardly ate over those weeks because it was a painful exercise, I had lost weight, I took pain medication daily, antibiotics. I became angry quickly with the dull constant pain and it came out at home and at work. I am a strong believer that nobody's perfect, and that the last person who walked on water died 2022 years ago. Because of my experience with Dr Ferreira and the way I was made to feel throughout this ordeal I feel compelled to say my peace in the hope that the good Dr realizes that the patient who walks into his world rooms has to at the end of that hour walk back into theirs. Just be slightly more compassionate and honest if things did not go as planned.
I will follow Dr Tersia Radley wherever she goes. No other dentist for me again, ever. Sweet, gentle, professional and obsessed with perfection. The whole team is friendly and really caring.
This practice has a nice atmosphere from the moment you walk in at receiption with the receiptionist and her infectuous laugh to the best dentist in my books Dr Annwin Strohmenger. There are 3 dentists on the premises as well as an optometrist.

I'm sure most people feel the same about their dentist and that would be that they are the best. But I had to go twice. Both was with a different dentist. I would recommend them to anyone. Even if you live in Cape Town i would say fly down they worth it. They leave you feeling great and communicate with you every step of the way. I'm on Key care so was nervous about what they would cover and the dentist practice that they would cover. What I expected and what I got was world's apart. They even took a step further and helped me out a bit. Definitely love the practice and the people working there. Thanks for putting a smile on my face DentistOnSaxby

The greatest dentist appointment ever! Dr Etienne was phenomenal, his demeanor as you walk in puts you at ease and the procedure was a breeze! Walked out and made a follow up for the next week!
I love Dr Ferreira, she was really sweet and awesome & a very skilled Dentist, the ladies at the reception warm and welcoming, highly recommend : thank you so much!
