My daughter had to have some teeth fixed, and we went to Dr Gouws. He scheduled an hour appointment for what should have been half an hour and he carefully demonstrated everything he was going to do before hand - even letting her do some of the "procedure" on a fake pair of teeth. He outlined the steps he would take - showed her - and then gently talked her through each step. All the time distracting her with little jokes and comments. All the time preparing her for what was going to happen next. He let her sit up and take little breaks. Showed her in a hand mirror that she looked "normal" even though her mouth felt funny. He was truly exceptional. I have never seen a dentist work like this and I will never take my kids anywhere else. Also, reasonably priced. Thank you for making this a positive experience and for going the extra mile and seeing your young patients as people first!
Been to Dr Gouws since we first moved to Centurion. I am deathly afraid of dentists but he even puts the anesthetic needle in without me feeling a thing. He also explains every procedure as he does it so you are never caught off-guard. HIGHLY recommended!!
