Amazing food! Chicken or beef, you won't be disappointed. This small restaurant offers great food at very affordable prices. The food is always fresh, and the prego rolls are to die for, they taste like they just came out of the oven. It's a great place to have a family meal, a date or even just to have a friendly beer with a friend.

What is the difference between an espresso and filter coffee? Filter coffee in general means coffee prepared by passing hot water through a bed of coffee grinds filtered by a medium - paper, metal or nylon mesh or cloth. This method of brewing coffee is called percolation. Adding any Kind of milk to a filter coffee - steamed or foamed, is optional. Cappuccino, on the other hand, is an espresso based milk beverage. If you add steamed and foamed milk to a shot of espresso in 1:1:1 ratio, you get a cappuccino. Today we paid for Cappuccinos but got lip back from a trainee waitress. Their food is always good but they have no idea what a Cappuccino is. Photos will follow of what we ordered.

Lovely little Portuguese restaurant, if you are tired of the boring franchise options, come spice it up a bit at GiraRio. Met the owner, lovely helpful lady. This place has a very old fashioned café feel to it, with lovely background music and a DSTV for the sport enthusiast.

I have been to Rira Rio mania times just today 20 May 2023 after being diagnosed with colitis. In a table of 4, I was the only person requesting plain hot water to drink my herb to line my colon to eat the ordered food. I was told dat, dat water will be charged or I shld order tea or coffee. When I explained my ailment challenges the owner said it's non of his business as he is after profit not to serve free hot water. M sooo disappointed n will never set my foot here. I think skin color do count as well. Never saw a restaurant not worried abt ailments bt our monies

Owners are hands-on in the management of the place with a passion for food and people. Mild is not as mild, more like portugese mild, but seriously delicious!!! Would return any day of the week. From the cape girls! Food: 5/5

The best chicken I've tasted in a looong time! The take away is great too - would I recommend Gira Rio? Absolutely!

Amazing food. Had the HOT chicken livers. And 10 litres of milk with the after burn. But amazing. Take away was well packed, helped immediately and served FRESH off the grill. Best chicken burgers in the vaal. Mild of course, lol. Owners always friendly and welcoming. Thank you. Keep it up
