Good facilities and secure parking. Rooms were clean and well equipped. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The building is a bit dated and there is no restaurant inside the resort - however there are numerous options outside.Hotel highlightsGreat value

Rooms are dirty.. Service zero.. We were told check in 15:00 and we ended up getting a room at 16:30 without even an apology. They wake you up early to clean but still the room will be looking dirty after they done. They don't even mop in the toilets.. Location is great.. Nearby activities: Everything is close by.

We visited as a family but it was actually a business trip, the staff exceptionally Friendly and helpful not to mention the reception lady, she is a true angel, went out of her way to place us in a family apartmentRooms: 5/5

It's a great place, I enjoyed the heated pool and the sauna. The place is secured. The only drawdown was the cockroaches we found in the kitchen area Safety: The place is secured, you can't access the elevator, swimming pool and rooms without the access key

It's close to everything you can possibly need. The beach is across the road. You can walk to UShaka Marine. The rooms are clean, great service, it's very comfortable. Rooms: Everything you need is included. The rooms have everything you need especially the kitchen.

My family have been staying at the Durban Spa for around 30 years. We have always been happy with the staff and the quality of the room. If we require any help, they assist us quickly. Thank you for always helping and supporting my family.Rooms: 5/5

To say I'm disappointed is an understatement. I had been at the hotel about 10 years ago with my family amd it was such a lovely experience. I thought it would be a great nostalgic experience to take my children there this time around. The greatest mistake. The rooms look the same as they looked 10 years ago. They changed nothing. There were roaches everywhere a pungent damp smell hits you like a ton of bricks as you enter the room. Very unpleasant experience. I will definitely not be returning. The hotel management needs to do better or just shut the place down

The hotel is on beachfront, it's less than 5 minutes walk. We enjoyed the heated pool and jacuzzi. The service was excellent, we will definitely comeback. Nearby activities: Near the beach, restaurants, Shakamarine and boat cruise.

Not Great Rooms for the price. Beds and tables sticky, linen dirty and full of marks, bathroom could be cleaner. Taxi's Continues noise, general Maintenance not great furniture and equipment falling apart. Aircons non working. Its not a horrible spot, just would not come here again. Hotel receptionist did not know what room I'm staying in, had to show her Loitering of people, a man was calling my three year old daughter n I had to stop the receptionist from talking get my daughter to my hip for safety, the guy was gone in a few seconds after that, he was not hotel staff Someone told me on the phone that there was breakfast and Check in is two pm and check out is 10am that was not correct Rooms are dirty, there was a cockroach in the bathroom, also the price, I paid R1800 for a room for one night thinking I was getting a good place, to my surprise I booked a mucky dump. The kitchen was grimmy n old and stuffy, room 702, KITCHEN coach, u could see the dirt piled on, material was blackened with dirt, very disappointing, you can't charge up to R2000 for this, it's bad bad bad, rather pay R200 more n stay in sun international where the std is monitored by professionals.
