Some weight equipments upstairs needs attention but the gym overall is clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. They do have a generator so their classes are always on, even during load shedding. Don't miss their Step class on Wednesdays at 7pm, it's the best.
Few machines in need of repair, but otherwise I 4ally enjoy the space, patrons are friendly, staff are friendly and helpful, it has become like a space where old friends and family meet for me.
Nice and new, although not that spacious. Equipment is great but would be nice to have more variety. Ended up moving to Planet Fitness..but still highly recommended!!

Been a member for 2 years at East gate, I will never set foot there again. Today we were approached by a FI called Gustavo. He approached my sister who trains with me every second day. This is what he said to her " Hi I am approaching you because of the way you are standing" then accused my sister of personally training me because she had a "personal trainers' jacket on. We had not even started training.. or does she personally train me. she did not even have the time to put her phone down or take her jacket off. And already was accused of doing something were have been doing together for years. Its is not about the Jacket, it is about the manner is which were approached, how do go up to members with that attitude? then tells us that we have the attitudes, all he had to say was please take the jacket off, not give false accusations. How does he not know we are there all the time, we train together, some times 2 x a day. A personal trainer got involved because she saw the jacket as we walked in. Again how does she not see my sister and I training every other day together, now because she a jacket on she is now training me???. what a joke. My point is... We could have been approach differently and not accused of doing something we did not. Your staff need to work on their people skills.

Great vibe. Equipment works. People friendly and gym hard. Pool is warm, Available throughout.
By far one of the best branches of Virgin Active out there. The equipment is always well maintained and I have never seen anything being out of order. The staff are always friendly and enthusiastic. Although it can get a little busy during peak times as expected you’re still able to do what you need to do. If you go during off-peak times, it feels like you’re working out in a private gym.
I visited this gym on two occasions. Perfectly situated and with under roof parking, this is a nice meduim size gym with pool, weight training and more for almost everyone in the family. The gym is new and well organized. Neat and clean. The staff was friendly and efficient. Lucky took me on a tour through this gym and could answer my questions effectively. Hygiene was top of the list and i felt save. I still have not made a decision to join this gym but i can highly reccomend this family gym to anyone who wishes to join.
Super unimpressed by the state of the men's changeroom, which had been deteriorating steadily over the past month to a year. I can't help wonder if the club manager is "working from home" as the problems are obvious. The shower drains are almost always blocked. The drain covers are open or missing. You get to stand in a pool of someone else's cold, soapy dirty water that won't drain away. The water is either cold or only lukewarm in some of the showers. Some of the showerheads are so blocked only a trickle of water comes out. The hooks to hang your towel/bag on are missing or broken in some of the showers. There is black mold on the shower ceilings. Not what I expect from one of the world's leading gym franchises. If I was a full paying member thank you Discovery, that I'm not, I would have resigned ages ago. The rest of the gym is great ... other than Kauai's glacial-speed service, but the state of the showers is a deal-breaker.
