Good price for the use of a fully furnished and equipped house. Perfect for a stopover on a long trip, although it's a bit out of the way, but it gives one a chance to view the still-impressive Gariep DamRooms: 3/5
What more can you expect for a late booking as a sleepover on the way to the coast. House was spacious and clean. Unit was advertised as a 6 sleeper but both units we booked had closer to 9 beds each. Houses need a little maintenance to make it a really great choice for future trips
At first glance a very cosy spot, beautiful succulent garden, spacious units and covered parking. This is unfortunately where it stops. I booked two adults and an 11 year old child. The unit only had a double bed for the two adults and the child had to sleep with us on the same bed, making it very uncomfortable. The website indicates that breakfast is included, on arrival the first thing we were told was that there is no breakfast.: The shower in the bathroom was not clean and the showerhead disfunctional, the toilet leaked water, so you could not go into the bathroom barefoot otherwise you would step in the toiletwater. The unit had a funny odour, not to pleasant, but luckily it was only one night sleepover. The owner, an elderly woman, was also not set at being very friendly, which made our arrival quite a stiff affair. I would not recommend this guesthouse to anyone.
Who ever the owner is, you have a good business going. Perfect for a sleepover on your way back from Cape Town, on route to Johannesburg/ Gauteng. Owner/manager is very friendly, The place is well equipped. But for heaven sakes, please get someone to clean. The kitchen tops, the showers, the floors, I was scared to touch. Cutlery and crockery in the cupboard not cleaned properly. The showers really need a good scrub. Listen, i don't care if a place is small even, and this place is really spacious but i need clean. Not to sure now if i will use the place again.
Old Town House charm and Friendly service. If you are looking for modern 5 star luxuries.. This is not for you. But we loved it. Clean, neat and cozy. Beds are comfortable and the house is centurally located. Had a wonderdull stay!!
Owner wasn't at home when we arrived albeit that the accommodation had been paid for. We were welcomed by the owners of another guesthouse for the night 2 doors away from the Eidelweiss Guesthouse.
Awesome clean comfortable good parking .Place well recommended. Fantastic response from the owner .
Good place to stay over on the way to cape town. An aircon in each room would make a huge difference. Budget accommodation that has what you need.
Beautiful home set in a small Karoo town close to the dam wall, restaurants and shops. Convenient and well looked after.
Decent place to stay in the area. Self-catering, beds are adequate, cooling down can be a problem. Close enough to the dam wall.
