The service from counter staff was adequate. Slow but fine enough. The quality of the vehicle that received was terrible. It was not clean or if clean, terribly stained. The car contained various scratches and I felt poor service relating to this department. The vehicle would have left without being co-inspected for said scratched and paint marks had I not asked the counter staff to request someone to approve of the car being handed over in such a poor manner. I would not recommend EuroCar based on the cleanliness and standard of vehicle received, poor value for money.
I never thought I would give a high rating to a car rental company, but for me everything worked perfectly well. The online booking was smooth and receiving the car was a pleasant and fast experience. Everything was correct and there were no tricks / surprises. The car was clean, in good condition and served me well. Returning the car was very fast and easy, and i got the deposit back a few days later.
Very very DISAPPOINTED ! We dropped out car off and forgot a bag in the boot. When we went back the next day to collect it the bag was gone and no where to be seen. Europ car said they will check their footage and get back to us the next day… that was 5 days ago and still NO WORD!!!! Shocking!!! They haven’t even bothered to get back to us!
Service level depends on the person behind the counter, some are very helpful, some are super unprofessional. I am renting a lot of cars there frequently, still no appreciation. Lately, the the person behind the counter Thuba Nkomo was the worst of all. Just tried to sell extra unnecessary things and gave me a lower group car, as I booked and paideven that everything was written in the contract. Their way of ripping off customers. So be very careful with him. Plus the car had damages everywhere, but they don’t care about.
Europcar is a scam, I advise people not to use this company. They scam me, I booked the car and I even double check if they are any damages myself and their employee. A lady that was checking my car told me the boot cover was damaged but never write on the report form. And I was charged for the damage more than 6k. And it was not even my fault I didn't put anything on the boo accept a jacket and 5litre of bottle water and no luggage was . When address the matter with their claim department i was told it was fault. I will never use this company anymore, I've been using Avis almost 13years never had any issues with them. I even regret my decision to take the vehicle from Europcar king shaka international Airport
Received good service but now the prices have double... getting the same vehicle from the shop next door to them at half the price.
The attitude of the consultants behind the counters are appalling. They have no respect for a customer. They are not customer centric. I get in, they dont acknowledge you, when you ask for help they tell you to wait for service as everyone is busy with admin. It's not the first time the consultants behaved like this. Never will I be using you guys again. Disgusting service.
I'm very dissappointed as I had forgotten my pair of Bathu takkies in the car I was returning last night only to find that the next morning when I phoned to enquire about it it was no where to be found wow.
Dealing with them was easy and quite quick. We later had a problem with the rental car's battery and they came out fast to assist. Turned out that the battery was faulty and we went to pick up a new car the next day with very little hassle. Helpful staff, overall not a bad experience.
Horrible experience so far. When we returned the car, one of their team member walks up to the car and says your passenger side door is damaged. We were baffled as he didn't even walk over to that side and inspect properly. Like he almost knew beforehand there is a problem. When I asked where is it damaged he opened it and showed a small scratch on the lower part which is impossible to see with the door closed. Then they have the audacity to bill us R 5000 for repair for a small scratch which we are pretty sure was there before we rented out the car. And even if it was our fault who charges 5000 for a minor scratch? It seems like they are a bunch of thieves and swindlers who just want to rob unsuspecting customers. When we try to talk to someone higher up in customer service there is no answer. Open your eyes people, don't ever trust these crooks!
