Such a nice art gallery at University of Johannesburg, FADA, Bunting road. BioArt of South Africa was born in FADA and flourished in it’s art gallery, Thanks to Prof Leora Farber and Eugene Hön. FADA art gallery has an extremely passionate manager, Eugene, a ceramist artist. Always willing to explain and full of experiences. I always look for an exhibition in this gallery to visit and chat. Safe parking. Free entrance. Just have your COVID19 vaccine cards/certificate. A nice cafe next to it to sit and chat in an arty building. . I only can suggest FADA: -To hold more art exhibitions -Hang a Biography board for each exhibition artist at the gallery door -To do more engagements with schools nearby, at least, to bring kids to visit the exhibitions -To use student volunteers to join the visitors and engage in arty conversations PS Dear Students: volunteering counts -Maybe a few artistic benches in the downstairs gallery for visitors to sit and get art drunk -A small bookshelf of art books in reception area for visitors to sit and read in an arty space
Windstruck ! Transferware by Eugene Hön. The installation Windstruck 1 & 2 consists of 2 composite ceramic statements, including the remarkable finely articulated ballpoint pen drawings Eugene Hön delivered his transfer from. The work speaks for itself.
