Good looking establishment but the service is horrendous. Booked a spa treatment for my wife for her birthday. What was meant to be a beautiful experience started off on a horrid note. Being racially profiled and overlooked. Waiting 30mins to be helped and then being rushed out of the treatment room because they want to turn it for the next customer. Nothing relaxing about this spa. It feels like you're part of a mass production line. For the price you pay, there are MUCH better alternative spas in JHB. Definitely will NOT be back and would NOT recommend.
Beautiful spa . Beautiful setup. Very quite so perfect. My husband and I had a half day treatment. The only issue was my therapist seemed to slack every now and then like just not massage for periods then start yet my husband's therapist continued. Also it was our first time and they did not advise us that we can get our treatments outside where the Bali setup is hence we were put in the inside therapy rooms which was standard
It is such a beautiful & serene place. The service was impeccable and everything we ordered was delicious. The spa even offered us a good deal after we arrived late for our appointment so we ended up not forfeiting our money. Food & drinks: There is a drinks menu where you can order by the bottle or by glass. Relatively cheap.
My friend and I had dinner at the Amuse Bouche restaurant, Fairlawns Hotel, on a cold Sunday evening. We were welcomed to the restaurant by a cozy fire, and we were provided with a table to place our handbags, which was very thoughtful. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. We had the Sea Bass, which was dry, as was the apple pie with chocolate. We had one glass of wine each. The Bill, with tip, came to R1300, which was too much for dry fish. I feel sorry to write a bad review, but these are the facts.
The hotel is really outstanding!. An incredible atmosphere in all parts of the hotel and restaurant, a great spa, a very good restaurant with delicious dishes, and outstanding service make for a truly exceptional experience. Having a relaxing spa, delicious food, and attentive service all in one place is definitely a recipe for a memorable stay. It's wonderful when a hotel can provide such a well-rounded and enjoyable experience for its guests. In can higly recomnend it! Rooms: Very big rooms, with nice meubles
This establishment is a five star Hotel, so be prepared to spend a few bucks. What I love about this place is that it's surrounded by a man made jungle, I say jungle because even though you're inside Sandton, it really feels like you're in a jungle somewhere minus the wild animals. If you want absolute tranquility,visit Fairlawns Boutique Hotel.
My experience at Fairlawns was stellar. I love the location, it's in the city but gives you a feeling of being away from the city. The food from Amuse-Bouche was amazing and the service satisfactory. The ambience is also refreshing and relaxing. Definitely a place to visit to for fine dining and relaxation.Service: 5/5
My friend had a high tea for her birthday. Her granny was with us and fell and broke her hip. She was lying on the concrete floor outside the hotel for over an hour while we waited for the ambulance. There was no emergency procedure, no one to medically assist us, and the staff were stand-offish and had no urgency in helping us. Lastly, when we asked to take the blanket with us in the ambulance and bring it back afterwards, they said, 'absolutely not'. Because a blanket is far more important than the life of an 89 year old woman, apparently.
Everything about this place and the staff was amazing. I made a booking and was in communication with Bridgette and she was effecient and professional. Everything that was in our package was delivered. All staff members are friendly, the rooms and overall premises are stunning and the food is amazing.Rooms: 5/5
What a gorgeous property! Common areas are South African culture and vibe and very comfortable, staff attentive. The rooms are exceptional and the design uniqueness and difference in each room makes for a very special stay.
