What a great place to stay. The food is of the highst quality. The rooms are amazing. The hospitality is out of this world. I will highly recommend that one visits this place.
Always lovely visiting the Mall, had lunch at Café Bella, their stuffed potatoe never disappoints, hubby had one of their delicious burgers... always a great place to eat and the staff's super friendly and helpful
Southern Sun Hemingway Last minute decision to sleep over in East London on Saturday evening and catch a flight to Johannesburg late Sunday. Called Southern Sun Hemingway and the gentleman on the call said we should come and he has a room and no need to book since we are one hour way. We got to the hotel and at reception they told us no room and we did not book. We explained we spoke to someone less than an hour ago and they promised we have a room. They called the gentleman we spoke with and he kindly accepted and offered us a room. The hotel is what all of Sourh Africa should be - must ideally reflect the demographics of the country and be Rainbow we all desire. The bedroom was a standard room and it was fine. Just had a wet smell , that caprepr or wall smell as if the place was flooded with water. Something they need to fix and improve WiFi did not work. See pic Restaurant in the morning was super chaotic and no order , people not wearing masks and dishing for themselves and talking all over the buffet while dishing. Also made worse it was school or water polo and hockey school teams. They could do a lot to improve restaurant health and safety and manage within COVId -19 protocols. Generally I find the restaurant and hotel slacking on demanding people wear masks, observe COVId 19 protocols . It’s as if there is no virus and we not expecting wave 5.
Well nothing better than to firstly relax in the casino restaurant and have something to eat. The staff are unbelievably good and friendly. The food is amazing for the price. Then once your tea or coffee or milkshake has settled you can wander around the casino floor and choose a machine of your choice. Great way to pass the day or evening.
Been here a couple times over the years hasn't seemed to change much which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Staff are always friendly and eager to help. Never had any problems They have a lovely restaurant attached that is quite reasonable I belive it is called Felix
We always enjoy ourselves here at hemingways love the place Thank u to casino security 4 helping m today & wanted nothing in return wen m fone was deadHe let m use his for emergency will definitely go back and thank him again pity I didn't get his name due 2 stress but I neva forget de face
Was really enjoyable however they need to upgrade their hospitality and making their Guests feel comfortable and relaxed after all huge amounts of moneys are spent there
Had a lovely dinner at the restaurant in the casino. Good service too.
They didnt allow me to use my Silverstar card because I got in Joburg Tshogo Sun and yet they're under one umbrella.
Was there for House and home. Very happy with the service I got. I dnt know what can improve when it comes to payment issues, you will everything and finish and all your time will be wasted at the till.
